The TS7 is a big, tough, lifestyle camera
The Panasonic TS7 is a big, tough, lifestyle camera. It has an excellent rear screen - and a viewfinder! That's rare these days. OK, it's a electronic viewfinder, but there are times you need a viewfinder. The grip is big and that makes the camera easy to hold. The one downside is the zoom rocker is a bit too small and fiddly to work. With a little practice you can one hand this camera.
I haven't taken it underwater, but I have used the camera in some miserable conditions. I don't let storms stop me. Like all rugged cameras it's all about the seal. Make sure that area is clean and dust free and you won't have a problem. One speck of grit and you might have a seepage problem.
Image quality is what you might expect from a small sensor. If you look at the images at 100% they'll look a bit soggy. But 100% and 20 megapixels is a huge image. More likely these images aren't going to be viewed that big. Panasonic do seem to apply some "intelligent sharpening" and the images are quite pleasing.
This is the type of camera that you leave at the default settings and just have fun. Hand it around. You could probably toss it to your dog. It's that rugged. The USB charging doubles for image transferring when you connect the camera to your computer. The WiFi is more clever than useful, no fault of Panasonic. It does work well as a remote control, though.

Very satisfied with purchase
Purchased camera for rugged outdoor activities. Specifically for water picture taking. Great camera, great exposure and colors. Very happy with purchase and thanks Adorama for great service.

tough little camera.
Have not had a chance to shoot many pictures, but they have good quality. Camera is easy to work, no steep learning curve. Camera was delivered on time and in good condition. Seems well built and should stand up to active use.
I like having a viewfinder to use in bright conditions and a good quality small camera that is rugged. Looking forward to some snorkeling pictures. No real complaints at this time.

Great Land Camera Not so Good Underwater
This a great small point and shoot camera. It takes incredible terrestrial photos and has setting for any situation you can think of even underwater and multiple focus points.
I would give this TS7 a 5 star review except I purchased it for underwater SCUBA diving activities. As with any SCUBA photo activity focus & depth of field is critical. Using the 4K multifocus feature has several cons that resulted in me returning the TS7 to Adorama, who were great about the refund, such as:
1. 4K shots take way too long for the shutter to trip and the internal processor gets bogged down that any subsequent shot(s), even using burst mode, get delayed.
2. When using the multi-focus function the camera slows down even more than what you experience using 4K alone.
3. Processing the multi-focus photos can only be done in the cameras 3 inch viewer. There is a work around using a movie editing program and pulling stills but this time consuming and cumbersome.

TS 7 out of focus issues
Bought the TS 7 underwater camera so as not to deal with housing. The wife went diving and from her results I see that the camera does not focus well on distant subjects? Video seems OK I will need to personally go diving with this camera to see if any operator issues

Camera EHH - Adroama... AWESOME !!!
I'm a Mom that lives on the beach and loves water parks - This camera was too slow for chasing kids. The auto focus just wasn't what I hoped. It is a gorgeous camera - the viewfinder was a real treat... but I didn't like the picture quality. Adorama was awesome! They took the camera back and expedited shipping for another brand. Thank You Adorama.
