If she means "new" vs. "used"...we definitely received a brand new camera in original packaging, etc. If she means "new" relating to how long it's been on the market, I believe it was first released for sale in Spring or Summer of 2012. I gave my 19 year old this camera as a Christmas present. She loves it so far - especially for taking pics at parties, at the beach, etc. It's a lot of fun because they get the instant reward of printed pictures to scrap book with, give as gifts, etc. LisaLAURA B : It is the old poloroid instant pix with a digital twist. You can a take a pix edit it and then print. The kids love it.VIRGINIA W : Yes, it is new.BONNIE H : Yes.SHARAT V : It was released back in summer 2012, so it is a fairly new model.
