The instructions for installing the scanner were poorly written. I attempted installing the scanner on 3 different Dell computers using XP or Windows 7 or Windows 10. None worked. The customer help website was useless. None of the proposed solutions worked. And no phone number was available to speak to a technician. In frustration I returned the scanner to Adorama after wasting almost a day of futile attempts to install and resolve conflicts. Ray

My Canon 9000F is better at scanning film, the PF-7200 is better at scaning slides. The 9000F has better color. But, you need to correct the color with most scanners. I returned the PF-7200 and I am going to get the CanoScan 9000F mark II. However it is a good scanner.

The PrimeFilm 7200 scanner from Pacific Image provides scanning of 35mm negativefilm strips and transparencies at 7200 x 7200dpi resolution. The higher resolution allows for enlargements up to 18 x 12" at 300dpi.
The 7200 has USB 2.0 ports for fast data transfer and convenient computer connections. It works with both Windows and Mac computers, including Windows 7 and Mac Lion and comes with a scanning software bundle to edit and restore images..
