Surprisingly this transparency film is NOT transparent. I have problems with being sold transparency film that is not even close to transparent. I would give it translucent white at best.

I used these to print digital negatives for contact printing in the darkroom and cyanotype. I was surprised at how smudge resistant fresh prints were.

This is the only kind of transparency paper I would use for making digital negatives. This is what my college photo professor recommended and I am continuing to use it after I graduated this past year. With this film I have made digital negatives for cyanotypes, gum bichromate prints, and even chlorophyll prints. The sun/UV light is able to easily pass through the clear parts of the film, and as long as the negative is tight against the emulsion the print will be very clear. It is a little tricky to print on but as long as the settings on the printer are for matte paper and the correct side is printed on it should be okay. Overall a great tool for creating digital negatives in alternative process photography.

Use the 8.5 x 11, and roll version for small and large image production. This size is great for medium size images. I use primarily for photogravure negatives.

Printed 21 panels to cover an entry way window. This ultra level did a noticeably better job then the regular stuff. Nice rich colors. For my purpose, I wish it was a bit more opaque so less of the background came through at full daylight, but I'm still very pleased with the results. The material cut nicely and stitched together well.

This film is great. It is strong and recreates the tones and textures I need for an exhibit perfectly. My only complaint is the small roller opening makes it difficult to stay secure on the printer that I am using at this time (Epson 4900), I have to re tighten the roller after it prints and cuts a print off in the middle. Otherwise this was an excellent purchase.

If you are using your printer to make digital negatives, this is the product you need to be using. Holds plenty of ink and makes great negatives. This is the "gold standard" for digital negatives. Buy te best.
