Review Summary

This is probably the finest photographic print material made today. The absolute resolution and clarity is about twice that of a paper-based photographic print. However, until it is framed, it will look like a placemat, so be advised. In that regard, it is no different then Cibachrome prints, which are highly regarded from the analog photographic era. The material is extremely archival, but the hyper gloss surface, which creates such fantastic richness and depth to the print, will scratch readily?so best from printer to frame with an overnight careful dry time.

Pictorico is my absolute favourite printing surface. I am biased to matte papers, but nothing holds a colour like this film. It's also very sturdy and the ink doesn't scratch off easily like you may see with matte paper. It is glossy and it's wonderful.

The available profiles for my Epson 3800 and this paper work quite well. The shiny reflective finish was perfect for the images I had in mind. I only wish it were available in 17x22 or 17x25.

Sometimes this paper can be damaged during manufacturing--it can have tiny scuff marks on in which are hard to see, but become more visible once printed upon. This is rare in my experience, and I've used this paper for years. A bigger problem is scratching by printers, particularly printers which pick up the paper and roll it over to get it to the print heads.
