The absolute best
After trying many other inkjet papers we discovered Permajet. We use the oyster for prints of our pen & ink artwork and it works just as well for photos. The oyster has a very fine pebble look to its surface. We have used the gloss and it is wonderful as well. The other plus to Permajet is a UV layer that prevents yellowing and fading over time. PermaJet Media gives the feel, texture and weight of fine-art prints. This is achieved in the Classic range by the use of ACID FREE Mould made art papers with an ink receiving top coat that produces the most vibrant image with a choice of weights and surfaces.
The 271 Instant Dry range includes a High Gloss and an Oyster surface both of which also have a UV protected supercoat to give added protection to the final image. These two papers are also water resistant.
PermaJet papers have been specifically designed for prestigious image making based on years of darkroom experience and knowing exactly what image makers need.
PermaJet micropore and UV supercoated media is designed to increase the speed of ink absorption, ensuring instant drying and therefore maintaining ink droplet shape. The UV filter further protects inks from the effects of harmful ultraviolet.
The ink fixing and image forming layers lock ink droplets to ensure image sharpness, excellent color gamut and prevents ink droplets mixing with each other, while the whiteness control layer ensures the brightness of highlights and reduces blocking of shadows.
In the case of the instant dry materials, the polyethylene coating stops water getting to the paper core thus preventing blurring and paper wrinkle. The polyethylene back coating prevents paper curl and allows reliable bulk feeding of many sheets from the printer.
The Classic range is acid-free meaning there is absolutely no attack on inks from the paper, which adds to the permanence of the image.
