Shopper : What is the size of the plug? 3.5 mm or 2.5 mm?Dave M : According to my digital calipers, it is 3.5 mm.Martin C : 3.5 mm, the same size as a microphone plug; some recent Pentax cameras use the same jack for the cable release and the external microphone.

A remote shutter that works well and is reasonably priced

The remote shutter release was a great buy. Very easy to attach to camera (no camera menu changes needed). I was happy to see that a half press on the remote shutter button works the same as a half press on of the camera's shutter button, i.e., operates the auto focus.

Essential for night photography with K-70

Performs as promised, offering bulb mode and shake free triggering. This item is hard to find, but is the only one that works with Pentax K-70. So far I have not seen a third party offering that is compatible.

Would Purchase Again

This is the cable release for the Pentax K-70. Half push in auto-focus activates the auto-focus, full push takes the picture. Did not need to do anything other than just plug it into the microphone jack.
