BRENDT W : Is this approved for Sony Alpha sensors? The very similar Eyelead product has two versions: one for Sony sensors and one for all other brands.
Raul R : Is this product recommended for cleaning a Leica MP 240 sensor?RONALD M : Leica will not recommend any contact ( their term) sensor cleaning at this time. At one time for the M9 they used the kit shown. I purchased one and never used it. Prevention is better. That would be inside of rear caps kept spotless, same with rear of lenses and camera not left open, change lenses as quickly as possible and have the new cleaned and positioned for quick mounting before taking old one off.
The current ones are blue and pink. Pink for Sony/Leica. Blue for my Nikons. Both are square, not like the Pentax one. I bought a new pink one and it is not embossed Pentax on the handle.
Photography Life never answered my query. Conclusion is professional advice can not be had.
You can wash with plain water and allow to dry. Buy more sticky paper.
Off brand ones WILL damage your sensor. Buy Eye Lead onlyHenrique S : Hola, olá, Raul. Before I answer, I have to add a disclaimer: this is my opinion, not an assertive recommendation. I do not, in any way, speak on behalf of the company that makes this cleaning kit (Pentax), nor do I recommend the product for the cleaning of sensors that are not specifically listed by the manufacturer.
However, I have to say this: I've had my kit for about three years now, and have cleaned my sensor (I have a Nikon D7200, which features a cropped sensor) regularly (every 6 months or so). The product always does a superb job! I now it might be the time to get a new kit, but mine is still good and performs wonderfully. There should not be any reason why you would not be able to successfully use it on a full-frame Leica MP 240.
Here's what I do, actually: I have another cleaning kit (a wet one). I use the wet kit first to remove oil and other spots. But the wet kit always leaves some degree of streaking. Then I finish the job using the Pentax adhesive stick. The end result is a spotless clean sensor. I hope this helps. Suerte! Boa sorte!

Research I did at the time said it could be used on a mirrorless camera, but don’t have any personal experience. Pentax Image Sensor stick really works

So much easier than using wet swips
Everyone should try this method of removing dirt on a sensor. Saves money and do the cleaning without sending camera to shop. Easy to keep in your bag when traveling.

Saved my rear on a 5 day West Coast Sunset shoot.
I recently took a 5 day West Coast trip from Calif to WA and while shooting Coastal landscapes and Sunset on day #1 with my Sony Camera, I discovered a glob of particles got on my lens when I shot some special shots of my daughters Wedding in windy SF earlier that day. This kit saved me a lot of post spotting.

Easiest way to clean a sensor
Other than using sensor swabs and Eclipse fluid, this is perhaps the easiest way to clean a sensor. However, for very stubborn dust particles that "sticking" won't remove, you may have to use a wet cleaning option for those.

Easy, Safe, Effective
I had been sending my D610 to professionals for sensor cleaning and tolerating the sensor dust between cleanings. This tool is very easy to use, does the job well, and actually, I think my camera is shooting as or more cleanly than after the professional cleaning. I'd been too nervous to do this for years. A friend helped me the first time. No worries now...and I'd have been fine watching a video tutorial online. It's just not complicated to use.

Worth the money
fast and easy way to clean my sensor. No chance of scratching my sensor and it's easy to do. Worth the money I spent considering how much it costs to have someone else clean it.

Had to use b/4
Wanted to use before rating. Works very well. I do not like to use liquids and have to rub the sensor. For fear of streaks and rubbing the grime into the sensor and scratching. I will order one more for my other camera kit.

It works!
I was very sceptical about buying this given do so many warnings and the high price. Bottom line...It works like a charm. I was extremely careful applying just a small amount of pressure. I took photos after each application until all the blemishes were gone. It took 3 times but I could see that was working each time. Read the instructions and watch the videos....It's a bit nerve wracking but go slowly, be careful and it will work. I knocked one start off simply due to the price. Seems a bit high but it's going to last a lifetime and a half.

Cleaning camera sensor is not a task one does every day. I've tried swabs before and they worked fine, but there was always some little specks of dust left at edges and corners of the sensor, almost impossible to remove with a swab. This kit works better, quite easy to use. I cleaned a few Canon cameras with it and had no problems at all.

Clean your sensor
Works on both CCD and CMOS sensors to best remove dirt particles. Best used in combination with visible dust swabs which remove oil spots from sensors. Together they allow a camera operator to maintain a clean sensor.

Great product, easy to use
Received quickly from Adorama and promptly used on Nikon (DX) D7000 and (FX) D700 sensors. Compared pre clean and post clean test shots and the gel stick removed 95% of the sensor dust on the first cleaning. Second cleaning got the rest of it. Very pleased with how quickly and easily this product works. Took my time and spent about 20 minutes to clean up both camera sensors. I watched a couple YouTube videos just to make sure I was prepared. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants perform quick sensor cleanings without having to send your camera off for service.

Great Sensor cleaning system

It works for me
$40 seems a lot for a piece of urethane on a stick but it does the job. Before you consider putting urethane on a stick yourself, consider that using it according to instructions is what makes it work. The instructions are tedious and must be read and followed FIRST, so I only recommend this product to people who will do so, although it seems to me this same advice would apply to any sensor cleaner.

Works as advertised
I gave this a 4 due to price not performance. No fault of Adorama. I have used Pentax's sensor cleaner on my K-x's for several years now. I do mostly outdoor photography and often have a bright blue sky as part of the background. Any dust on the sensor will show itself immediately. I can't afford to send my DSLR's out for cleaning every time dust finds its way on to a sensor. I use all zoom lenses and found that they tend to inhale dust from time to time. The Pentax Sensor Cleaner is a very effective way to remove dust that a blower can't dislodge. I usually need one session/sheet to clean the sensor however, on occasion, I have needed to do a second session/sheet to remove more stubborn dirt. All in all, I've been extremely satisfied with the results from this cleaning kit and have no problem recommending it. It is absolutely very easy to use and lightweight so I carry it with me whenever I travel.

Failure
I have a Nikon D600 with the recurring dust-on-the-sensor problem. I thought the Pentax cleaning stick might be the ticket for removing the worst spots. It seemed to do a pretty good job with it's first use. It didn't get the sensor spotless but it was acceptable. But with the second use sticky material from the tool surface began transferring to the sensor surface! I wound up using the VisibleDust sensor cleaning kit (wet cleaning) to get the sensor clean again. The Pentax tool went into the trash.

Simple Easy Effective!
First time things can be a bit fearful but this product is super simple to use . . read the directions . . I was a little too gentle the first try and a little more pressure the second try removed dust on my K-30 sensor that was positively driving me crazy. One caveat . . use this product in as totally DUST free static free work area as possible. Take your time.

Easy to use & effective
It works very well and it's very easy to use with no risk to your sensor. What else could you ask for? Well, a cheaper price, for one... but clean your camera with this once and you've already saved money on a professional service. After one cleaning, both my cameras' sensors have stayed clean for over a year. Small and light enough to pack if travelling.
