I use this camera for recording information about residential buildings and reference shots I might later pursue with my DSLR (which is also a Pentax). I'm not crazy about the fact that there is no lens cover but it does make it quick and eliminates another moving part which I do like. I also like that the lens doesn't project so I can be a little less cautious handling it. All in all a good choice for me.

Wanting a camera that could live continuously in a jacket pocket, I bought this because of its nice pocketable size and its waterproof and tough construction. But the image quality it awful. Too noisy at anything above 100 ISO and the color rendition is poor as well. Below, the "bottom line" section asks if I would recommend it to a friend. I wouldn't recommend it to an enemy

i bought the camera to be used underwater. this is my third such camera and the best so far. picture quality is excellent in good lighting and easily enhanced on cloudy days with any editing program. i'm generally in the water for up to 2 hours at a time and take over 200 shots. never had a problem with battery life. i recharge after every use. also nice to be able to go out in inclimate weather and not worry about getting the camera wet.

Bought this camera for the convenient of carrying it with me and the HD Movie recording, which the quality is just fine. The waterproof and dustproof is a bonus, even thou I have not got a chance to try it out. PROS: Functions such as the Digital Panorama(stich 3 images to get panoramic photograph), Digital Wide(stitch two pic together), 1cm macro focus, and underwater photo & Movie, which makes me enjoy using it. The size is great for carrying it everywhere you go, and the Wide angle is perfect. For its price, its a fairly decent camera. CONS: The picture quality is just so so. It can take pictures and Ofcourse it can not compare to DSLR, but it gets the jobs done. I realized that there isn't a manual control to adjust the shutter speed and the f-stop, which is a disapointment for me, but overall, its quite decent.
