If you're used to good build Pentax quality, this isn't it. 

Yes, the Image Quality is good, but the viewfinder is almost useless. You can sort of see what is in the frame, sort of, with a lot of squinting. The zoom switch/function is jerky and it is hard to stop at the focal distance you want.

There are a lot better P&S cameras out there. And there are some fantastic Pentax DSLRs out there. So I recommend going with one of those instead.

Excellent camera, really did not believe I had so many good features. easy to operate even for a person who has never used a camera. With Excellent zoom. mujy manageable. Photos ideals with magnificent resolution. and excellent video quality. I when determining compare. I would imagine that right pentax many features in this camera, actually I was thinking of a nikon p510. But to be considering this option I found this pentax. x5. and I do not regret my purchase. unlike for the price of the camera. I recommend it. until now that I've used I liked everything about her. Adorama also recommend as a seller. but only for me. delivery was a little slow. but adequate. and with well packaged article not to hurt this camera. I highly recommend it and to Adorama.

Pentax  X5. Very Excellent.

Love this camera.  Bought it to replace a Canon SX10 IS.  The Canon took great pictures outside, but was not good in low light without the flash.  Very hard to focus!  This camera does it all and does it all well!  Stylish, accurate, great picture quality, easy to use, excellent focus ability.  Doesn't feel as solid as the Canon, but is well made.  I highly recommend this camera for someone who wants more than a point and shoot, but doesn;t want to take classes to learn how to use it!  Very satisified!
