this camera competes with the GoPro and alike. With Pentax/Ricoh being in the camera business for years (much longer than GoPro or their cheaper knockoffs), I expected a decent picture quality, especially with the 14MP sensor for stills and the 1080p video modes. Unfortunately, it didn't come close to the quality of a GoPro. Images and videos are very washed out, not very sharp and generally over- exposed. Also, I couldn't find a setting to turn off the date/time stamp embedded in the video. This might be a good low end secondary camera - but then it is overpriced.
