The Irix 11mm T4.3 lens introduces a perspective previously unattainable in film optics, paving the way for extreme wide shots.

The lens' optical system is built on a unique optical formula, specifically developed for cinematic purposes. It comprises 16 optical elements, including four high refractive index (HR) glass elements, three aspherical surfaces, and two low-dispersion glass (ED) elements. The large front lens and special glass elements ensure sharp cinematic shots in resolutions up to 8K while minimizing the "focus breathing" effect.

The lens features a maximum T number of 4.3, which can be reduced to T22, thanks to the rounded shape of the iris blades. The lens' mechanical system incorporates innovative technical solutions, such as the Multi Start Thread focusing mechanism, which allows for quiet and precise focusing in challenging weather conditions like rain, humidity, or extreme temperatures.

The Irix Cine 11mm T4.3 lens is designed for both manual and follow-focus use, thanks to the innovative adaptive ring. Despite its short optical system layout, the geared focus and aperture rings are positioned at the same height as the rest of the Irix Cine lenses for better ergonomics and intuitive use.

The lens housing is robust and durable, designed for long-term operation in various atmospheric conditions. The Multi Start Thread mechanism, combined with a sealed housing, ensures the lens' durability even in the most demanding situations. The focus ring's rotation angle is increased to 180 degrees, facilitating easy and accurate focusing at any range.

The lens markings are laser engraved and treated with UV fluorescent paint for improved readability in low light conditions. The Irix Cine 11mm T4.3 lens is built to withstand various weather conditions, with multiple seals to protect against dust, rain, and accidental water splashes.

The lens is designed to be compatible with industry standards, with a standardized front diameter of 95mm for matte boxes, unified distance between gear-rings, standardized 0.8 pitch module gears, unified angles of rotation, and similar weight. The lens comes with a removable support foot with a 1/4 thread, stabilizing the lens when using a follow focus system and protecting the camera mount. The support foot can be attached to the bottom or top of the lens for user convenience.
