This versatile lens features a complex optical system, ready for 8K UHD, based on the same layout used in the Irix 150mm f/2.8 Macro 1:1. Comprising 12 optical elements arranged in 9 groups, including four high refractive index (HR) glass and three low-dispersion glass (ED), this lens delivers high-resolution images with nearly zero chromatic aberration and minimal distortion.

The lens is equipped with an internal focusing system and is designed to minimize breathing. The focus ring operates quietly and smoothly, thanks to the new MST lens positioning system, specially created for the Irix Cine range. The Multi Start Thread mechanism, coupled with a sealed housing, ensures the lens can operate durably and long-term in various atmospheric conditions, even in the most challenging situations.

The Irix Cine 150mm T3.0 Macro Lens also features an increased rotation angle of the focus ring to 270 degrees, facilitating easy and accurate focusing at any range. The lens is available with both metric and imperial markings, and the aperture mechanism comprises 11 iris blades with rounded edges, creating a stunning bokeh and crisp sharpness. The de-clicked aperture ranges from T3.0 to T32, and the aperture ring rotates 75 degrees.
