Review Summary

The lens is razor sharp. At F1.4 the depth of field is paper thin. I use " catch in focus" method and the firmness of the focusing barrel is a plus IMO. It's heavy and well built, and the balance was good with my K-1. I'm an old 2 1/4 film shooter so I'm used to working at a slower pace and manually focusing. If you are in a hurry I can not recommend. If you are patient and like to craft your images in camera, you will be very pleased.

Lens is phenomenal for astrophotography. Not as wide as some would like but still phenomenal. Paired with my Nixon D810 images are sharp and clean. Very well built and heavy lens for the price. You can't beat it for a 500 dollar lens.
