I got this lens and hooked it up to my a7s3. The image quality is great. It gets sharp, it has pleasing bokeh, and even takes good stills. Here are the things to keep in mind. It is a full manual lens. No auto focus and the camera can't read any data from the lens. The reason I don't deduct for that is that there are plenty of expensive lenses that are no different in that regard. It is heavy, and I mean heavy. But what do you expect from a t1.5 lens? For me, I like the 45mm, I like the image quality, and I don't find the manual focus too much of a deal breaker for what I'm doing. There are a lot of shots where this lens may not be ideal. But it excels in what does well.

Great neutral image which allows you to create the look that you want. Would like for Irix to fill out their set though. They have a limited selection of cinema glass. What a shame.

I love the lens. It is beautifully crafted and sturdy. The weight of the lens will take a bit of getting used to so I don't suggest using it without mentally preparing for the weight or having a stand if you don't want to hold it. There is no image stabilization but that is to be expected; however, the smooth focus and aperture are amazing. They allow for a really really precise image whether photo or video. This is my favorite lens.
