Rated 5 out of 5

The best sub-$50 filters from an underrated brand.

The build quality is solid. The knurled ring on the polarizer is easy enough to rotate and well-damped to prevent accidental bumps from turning it. It's fairly slim for its price point. What sold me is its image quality. Crystal clear and with a very minimal 1.25x filter factor (+1/3 stop), there's only a negligible tradeoff. It works like magic. I barely notice it being on half the time.

I bought this filter on recommendations for my new lens. But after using it on a trip to the mountains I was disappointed in that it has a pronounced color shift. All the photos I took with it had a yellow color shift. Easy to fix in post but a issue I was led to believe I wouldn't have to deal with.

Solid filter

Worked as described. I didn't notice any color shift, and so I would recommend this filter. It does block a stop of light so you will want to account for that.

True color comes thru

The polarizer was just what I was needing to help filter the brightness of the direct sunlight on the beach and landscaping photos. It has gave me true color to my pictures.

Worked as described. I didn't notice any color shift, and so I would recommend this filter. It does block a stop of light so you will want to account for that.

The Irix Edge Circular Polarizer (CPL) filter is extremely useful for landscape and architectural photography by reducing reflections from non-metallic surfaces, emphasizing detail and increasing the colour density of the pictures.

The glass surfaces of the Irix polarizer are covered by a multi-coated anti-reflection layer that keeps the image clear and full of natural colours. The additional waterproof and oil repellent coating protects them from stains and fingerprints, and also enables their use in extreme weather conditions.
