Questions & Answers

Shopper : .....?Are these cameras easy to work and do we have to buy extra,sJOHN V : Yes, easy to operate not sure what extra stuff you mentioned in your question.FRANK M : Very easy to use. Iuse it for work to take pics for damage and vandalism.JERRY C : Had mine for a few months now and they are very easy to work. The only extras I would recommend is a sturdy case, and a small tripod if you plan any low-light, long exposure shots. The only downside I have noticed is because there is no view finder and only an LCD display, the display can be difficult to see in direct sunlight.AMY J : I find it very easy to work, although depending on what setting you choose to take the picture in, it sometimes takes a minute or two to switch modes. The picture on the front of the camera is AWESOME for self-pics, and I love that it has wi-fi capability to auto-upload to the web. It does NOT have dropbox capabilities, though, which is a bummer. We don't regret buying ours!WALTER T : Are these cameras easy to work: YES! My wife and I recently took bought and took this camera with us overseas. I'd never used it before and I found it very easy to use (easier than my previous Canon pocket camera). We also loved the fact that you could upload pictures right from the camera to our Facebook account from overseas! While the picture quality is great, we were really impressed with the videos. They were very crisp and clean quality videos. We highly recommend this camera.
Shopper : What's in the camera?DOUG L : Camera, battery, software CD, camera strap, quick start guide, USB cable, AC USB power chargerTUAN N : Like all other cameras, you can take shots or video. Smart mode is the best to take pictures without manual settings. Also dual view is unique compared with others to take pictures of yourself. Hope this helps.ANDREW R : Samsung DV300F Includes Samsung DV300F Digital DualView Camera BP88 Battery Samsung Warranty
Shopper : weight of camera ?THOMAS W R : weight is minimal, it's very light weight very easy to carry and stow away in a shirt or pant pocket. I'm a professional photographer. I purchased this camera for my son, as he liked the front facing screen, wifi and 16 mp resolution. I've seen photographs he has taken with the camera. The light is very well balanced in the photographs, that is with no post editing. The battery is the majority of the weight. I was concerned about the battery longevity, as I had reviewed and that was one of the low reviews posted online. I bought an extra battery, I don't think for his personal use there have been any complaints from him regarding battery life, as he is a casual shooter. I actually oredered another exact camera for my wife. I hope this helps any prospective buyers into feeling reassured about the camera. Sincerely, Thomas RyanKHALIL J : Maybe just over 1-2 lbs. About the weight of a standard smartphone.

Great all around pocket camera w extras!

We recently bought & took this camera overseas on vacation. It worked beautifully. Pic quality is very good, while video quality is excellent (compared to past Canon pocket camera). Love the upload capability. We were able to upload our pics to Facebook from camera while still overseas. While small and sometimes hard to see, the front-facing viewfinder is useful for timed shots of yourself.

high utility 'smartness', shaky network

2 best things I liked about this camera: front LCD screen and video animation that engages kids while u take their smiley snaps. the video clips play on the front LCD and u can really get results that you will never get otherwise especially when shooting infants and toddlers. 1 thing that I did not like is its unreliable wifi connectivity. pics do not upload to cyberspace easily. needs multiple attempts most of the times. otherwise it is a technological miracle in amateur world

The Samsung DV300F is an advanced digital camera (Black) featuring Dual LCD technology and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. An impressive 16 Megapixel 1/2.3" (1.1 cm) CCD sensor delivers excellent image quality. Add to that a 5x optical zoom and 25 - 125mm wide-angle lens capable of focusing as close as 2.0" (5.0 cm) in macro mode and you've got the capability to capture images and video in stunning detail, even at a distance. Completing the recipe for superb image quality is a 1.5" (3.8 cm), 61,000-dot front-facing LCD screen, complementing the rear 3.0" (7.6 cm) 460,000-dot TFT LCD, which helps you nail even the most challenging shots. Frame yourself perfectly as you hold your camera out at arm's length!

Thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, you can email your images or upload them to social media sites like Facebook, Picasa, Flicker and YouTube for sharing. Photos saved onto the camera's microSD memory card may be saved to a home PC wirelessly via the Auto PC Backup function! Cloud services such as Samsung's AllShare Play and Microsoft SkyDrive enable you to store and share your pictures from any location. The camera features a log-on browser that enables you to use public Wi-Fi hotspots.

Child Mode features an animation that helps keep young people focused. Additionally, a visual Self Timer simplifies the process of putting yourself in the picture. Other fun and useful features include Magic Frame, which has 12 neat background templates and also gives you the ability to produce poster-quality art, great for sharing or hanging on the wall. The Picture-in-Picture function enables you to insert an image within another. Impress your friends by combining a still image and a video clip and immediately uploading your creation to YouTube or other social networking sites!

But there's more: The cool Split Shot feature lets you merge as many as 3 different images to produce your own artistic masterpiece. You can even import photos from other cameras. With the Funny Face function, add silly smiles, comical noses or crazy eyes to pictures of friends and family--in a total of 8 different modes! Using the innovative Artistic Brush feature, instantly take a portrait, landscape shot or even a video clip and turn it into a black and white or full color sketch--the same way an artist would. Then, proudly display your artistic creation on the camera's LCD, or by simple upload to social networking sites to give everyone the chance to look at your work--which you might even decide to make your latest profile picture!

The exciting Motion Photo feature lets you feel like a Hollywood blockbuster filmmaker: Freeze time around a moving subject for dramatic effect. Capture your friend leaping in the park while keeping everyone else around him or her still. The camera displays a sleek, seamless and rounded form factor for chic style without compromising simplicity of use or image quality.
