This time of year, nature is bursting with new life, even in Chicago's spring delayed environs. This is an ideal asset for capturing clusters of lawn cover; i.e. a herd of Crocus flowers, and zooming in to spotlight the saffron / pollen in the center of a single bloom. It would be prefect if it had provisions for a tripod collar. As it is the image stabilizers almost compensate for this. But handheld, even at 400 ISO settings, good results are possible.

I use it outdoors. Great OIS but it's heavy. Weigh's more than the NX1000 it works with. The camera is fantastic, with a JPEG algorithm that is as accurate as the cameras RAW.

This lens gave surprisingly good image quality. It is nearly the size of a SLR lens, and mounted on a point and shoot size camera body, it felt and looked unbalanced. Also, with a max f-stop opening of 5.6 at full zoom, it was a bit slow in some situations.
