I purchased this item to use with my Samsung NX1000 and it does not function correctly. You're supposed to be able to press the shutter release button, slide the button forward, which will keep the shutter open, and then release it. Whenever I release the button it automatically pops back out and causes the shutter to close. It works well as a remote release to prevent movement of the camera, but doesn't hold the shutter open when using the "bulb" mode on the camera.

Bought for my NX20, it does what it's supposed to do. I wish the cord were longer; in fact, I wish it were a wireless device, which would be more in keeping with the interesting capabilities of the camera. Anyway, it of course comes in real handy for tripod work.

The Samsung SR2NX02 Remote Shutter Release is a new accessory for the NX20, NX210 and NX1000 mirrorless digital cameras. This cabled remote plugs into the micro USB port on the camera and allows for shutter release and autofocus without touching the camera. Useful to avoid motion blur when shooting on a tripod with long shutter speeds or when shooting portraits where eye contact with the subject is essential.
