The FE 20mm f/1.8 G Lens is a versatile tool for a wide range of still and movie shooting situations. It features a 9-blade circular aperture that contributes to smooth, natural-looking bokeh and highlights, hallmarks of the G Lens series. Two AA elements and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements minimize sagittal flare, ensuring point light sources are accurately reproduced without color smearing.
Equipped with two XD (eXtreme Dynamic) Linear Motors, this lens maximizes AF speed, precision, and tracking, keeping up with the high-speed capabilities of today's most advanced camera bodies. New control algorithms drive the lens's large focus group smoothly and silently, ensuring responsive, low-vibration autofocus.
The lens also offers excellent close-up performance, with a minimum focusing distance of just 0.63 ft (0.19 m) in AF mode, and an even closer 0.59 ft (0.18 m) when focused manually. This makes it an excellent choice for gimbal/grip mounting, whether shooting selfies or other subjects.
