I saw YouTube reviews and I brought this product but I'm disappointed after buying it I wanted to sell at the sell but I was not getting enough amount also I applied for cash back registration but they denied and also blocked me and I'm so disappointed with Sony product I'm regret buying it thank you

I will just tell you, photographer to photographer, that this is one of the most impressive lenses I have ever used. My Planar was sharp and AF was pretty fast. But this lens beats the Planar in every single aspect. Ultimately, for most people, photo quality would be viewed as similar unless you are using particular gear and appropriate viewing stations. For me, the big gain is AF speed. I never like using my 85mm GM because the AF speed pretty much sucks. This lens is lightning fast. The bonus is the extra bit of light gathering at 1.2. I shoot mostly lowlight venues. Every bit of help is greatly appreciated. I basically go in armed with this 50mm 1.2 GM and my 135 1.8 GM hanging at my hips. I go in knowing I have the best gear for the job. Do not hesitate in buying this lens. I will add that I am one of those people that despise 35mm but love 50mm. It's hard to explain, but I know I am not alone in this. I will not be paying for the 35mm GM becaue I would hardly use it.

After upgrading to mirrorless I wanted some universal prime lens. Decided to treat myself and but this time more premium version. Used nifty-fifty in the past, so was used to this focal length. The way new set up works, made me not interested to check if cheaper vesrion would be close. Like it a lot and don't regret money spent.

This lens is just perfect, i think the price is reasonable compared to other 1.2 50mm lenses on the market. What makes it unique is the autofocus, it's the smoothest I've ever seen.

I have used this product in lowlight as well as in sunny days, and I can definitely attest that this a well rounded lens, especially with that 1.2 f stop giving you a nice creamy bokeh

This is an amazing lens for portraits, especially at weddings. The bokeh wide open is phenomenal. Only thing I don't like is the amount of dust behind the first element. Though they don't show in images, even when closed down, it's frustrating to see them, especially a larger piece in the middle ???????

I loved this lens and thought it was so fun to use. I shoot a lot of portraits at night, so the 1.2 aperture helped a lot. Howerver, the lens was heavy and I couldn't justify keeping it in my collection at the price point, being that I don't shoot at 50mm often. I would love to buy this lens again if I ever began shooting more at 50mm:) It was absolutely perfect.

Having wanted this lens for sometime I finally Managed to raise the funds to buy it. It doesn't disappoint, to me the 50mm focal length is the centre of my lens collection and to have F1.2 makes it even better. Yes it's a bit larger and heavier but not by much. If you can afford the price then get it you won't be disappointed

Finally decided to purchase the Sony 50mm 1.2 lens. One word Wow, the build quality is second to none and build as good as my other gm glass. I purchased the nifty 50 as I felt my 24-70 2.8 gm mk2 was making me a bit of a lazy photographer lol. This lens is epic and the quality it produces with my A7Rv is phenominal. The quality of Bokah when shooting wide open brings a new perspective of photos opportunities, which totally transforms our art and creates a different perspective on images we create. I am loving this lens and its attached to my camera nearly all the time it's heavier than the norm but hey if you want the best it's not a downside. I can carry this lens all day long without really noticing it. If you want the best 50mm period I urge you to buy it, your photography will take on a new dimension. I simply love it.

This lens is exceptional, fast accurate AF, renders beautifully, and is really well built. It's not the lightest or smallest lens, but it is pretty small and light for a lens of this type. The only negative point for me is the optical vignetting causing cat eye bokeh at the edges when shot wide open and I do have another lens that performs better in this area, but this is just preference and a minor point.

I have Sony A1 and all my lenses are GM lenses. I have 3 zoom lenses and 2 prime lenses other than this 50mm 1.2 GM. I was very hesitant about getting this lens because I already had 24mm 1.4 GM and 35mm 1.4 GM. I was actually waiting for 85mm GM II to come out but my Sony points were about to expire so I used the points to get the cash vouchers. With the release of recent 50mm 1.4 GM, I had a choice of that versus 50mm 1.2 GM. I contemplated a lot but with the promotional discount plus cash vouchers on 50mm 1.2 GM, both 50mm GM lenses were about the same price. Of course I could also have used the cash voucher on the new 50mm 1.4 GM lens but I didn't want to have lingering thought about what it would be like to take pictures with FE 1.2 down the road. In the end I decided to go with 50mm 1.2 GM lens and oh boy I'm glad that I did. I initially thought there won't be much difference between this lens and my 24mm as well as 35mm GM lenses because I didn't think half a stop of light would make significant difference but I'm completely blown away. This 50mm 1.2 GM lens is so much sharper and brighter especially in indoor setting. I mostly take pictures of my children playing around in the house during evening hours with warm lights. Often times, these are very challenging for many cameras but my A1 with any of the 1.4 GM lenses do a great job. However, this 50mm 1.2 GM is definitely a notch above my other GM prime lenses I have mentioned. Pictures are so much sharper and background is definitely even more creamier with FE1.2. Yes this lens is much bigger than the new 50mm 1.4 GM or my other 1.4 GM prime lenses but it definitely excels in performance. What most people don't realize is that 4 linear motors for autofocus in this 1.2 GM make a huge difference compared to what 1.4 GM with 2 linear motors can do in the indoor environment I described earlier. Unless I absolutely need a wider focal length, this 50mm 1.2 GM is the go to lens for my A1 since the purchase. I would love to see 85mm 1.2 GM from Sony with equal size and weight as this 50mm 1.2 GM. I don't really need to have more prime lenses now that I have this 50mm 1.2 GM but 85mm 1.2 GM will definitely find a place in my bag if it were to come out.

This lens is amazing. The shipping was fast, it was packaged well, and the lens is exactly what I was looking for. If you want to take crisp images with an extremely blurred background, this is your lens. I also like it because I able able to get very close to the subject without distorting their features.

I have had the opportunity to photograph my grandchildren with this lens. Fast focus and razor sharp. Also used it for landscape superb lens. Really pleased with this lens. Cannot fault it at all.

Bought the lens brand new and after one week the lens stop working and my camera was not able to read the lens settings... sent it back to Sony and now I'm waiting. $2000+ in the garbage
