This is the sharpest best lens I own. One issue that I have is with the lens cap. It is hard to get on and will pop off because it doesn't seat well. Overall I am glad I bought it.

I am using this lens on a A7II. Everything about it is wonderful- sharp, great color and contrast. The only issue I have so far is that (and this is not entirely the lenses fault) the AF in anything but great light tends to hunt. Still, highly recommended even for the price. I compared this against the 50 OSS, and it has that zeiss "pop" to it.

This lens is really sharp on my A7RII and I would recommend to anyone looking for this lens. It has a good range and really good for portrait as well. It would be great walk around lens for full frame camera. Good thing is that you can turn on the APSC mode and take portraits as well.

When mounted on a series cameras with APS-C type sensors, the actual angle of view will be equal to the angle obtained at a focal length approx. 1.5 times longer than stated. Less light is transmitted by any lens at the image periphery. If the light falloff becomes excessive, reduce the aperture by 1 or 2 stops.
