Everything came in packaged well and works fine. Amazing camera. The strap bag could be a bit bigger/better quality but it's still useful.

As someone who cherishes capturing life's moments, I sought a camera that could keep up with my adventures. Enter the Sony a6400-a sleek, lightweight companion that proved to be more than just a tool; it became a gateway to preserving memories. ?? First Impressions in the Rainforest On my first day in Costa Rica, I ventured into the vibrant rainforest. Amidst the lush greenery, the a6400's fast autofocus locked onto a toucan high in the trees. A quick press of the shutter, and the image was crisp and vivid-a testament to the camera's capabilities. ??? Versatility in the Field Throughout my journey, the a6400's adaptability shone. Swapping lenses allowed me to capture the expansive views from Arenal Volcano with a wide-angle lens. The dynamic range was impressive, rendering colors rich and true to life, even in challenging lighting conditions. ?? Evening Reflections As the day ended, I reviewed my shots from the balcony. Each photo not only showcased breathtaking scenery but also encapsulated moments of wonder-the proximity to wildlife, the sound of waves crashing, and the sunset painting the sky. The a6400 didn't just take pictures; it captured memories. ?? Final Thoughts The Sony a6400 exceeded my expectations. Its compact design, fast autofocus, and impressive image quality made it an invaluable companion on my travels. For anyone seeking a reliable camera that delivers both performance and portability, the a6400 is a choice worth considering.

I have really enjoyed using this camera so far. It has been some time since I have owned a nice camera and we decided to purchase one for some upcoming traveling to capture some nice memories. The camera itself feels like it is pretty easy to use, and for learning to use it the 16-55 kit lens has been fine, but I do agree with the sentiments of others that it leaves something to be desired. I do wish I had spent the money to get the 18-135 kit lens instead. I do have 2 lenses on the way to work with on the camera next and look forward to what i can get out of those. I also appreciate how lightweight the camera is yet it still feels solidly built. The menu system felt a bit overwhelming at first, but after watching some tutorial videos and researching what the settings do, things are starting to make sense. I feel like the out of the box settings for just taking a nice picture of the scene works pretty well, I am excited to see how some of the scenes will look with the new lens. The pictures I am attaching are the ones i took out during my first and second session using the kit lens. I will try to remember to update after i get some pictures with the new sigma lens i have coming in. These were taken as jpegs from the camera and have not been edited.

The camera arrived on time and was well packaged. The Sony a6400 is a major upgrade from my Nex 6, especially with the 18-135 mm OSS The lens. While I still use my other lenses, I find this to be a great all around combo. The focusing is fast and accurate, even on fast moving objects like low flying aircraft. I am quite pleased with this purchase.

My first Sony camera and first mirrorless - I'm a DSLR holdout, but so far I love it. I find the menu fairly easy to use. I have the 16-55mm kit lens and the results have been extremely pleased. I bought a TTArtisan 25mm manual lens too. With Sony's peaking feature I've been able to take very sharp pictures. Ive been shooting primarily in manual mode. I'm not into video (yet) so I can't speak to that aspect but the photography features that I've been exploring are first rate.

The camera body is great and there are plenty of reviews online for that. For this bundle, I will say that I was impressed with the bag included. It is just large enough to carry camera with my Sigma 18-50 F2 lens with space for spare batteries, zip pocket for my ND filter and microfiber cloth. Also has a space for a battery pack for my phone for traveling. Well designed so that the zip for the top pocket faces towards your body for security too. Other components of the bundle seem good as well but not as well used as the bag that was included.

In the past, I had the Sony Nex and the A6000. I decided to try the A6400 and I am very pleased with the camera. It's small and lightweight and I really love the eye tracking. I wish it had IBIS but the A6600 is way more than I wish to spend at this time. The 18-135 jack-of-all-trades lens is pretty good and I'm glad that it was part of the kit. Now, I am looking to add a few more lenses. If you are interested in this style of camera and are fine with APS-C then this camera may be a great choice for you.

Camera takes stunning, professional looking photos. Has been taking amazing shots of nebula and open clusters in our telescope (not long exposures). Captures color and light really accurately in manual mode. I never felt the urge to use a viewfinder with a digital camera but this one is actually extremely good. Its really everything I wanted in a camera.

This is the day after it arrived. My hands aren't as steady as they used to be so I am pleased with the quick autofocus. I have accessed the online help page and it is showing how to get around. In a month I will be able to writ a more meaningful review, but you know how one is nagged to immediately write something when you register your product.

This camera does so much more than my old Canon 7D ever could. More megapixels, no video recording limits, tilting screen, and super light weight. It's a No Brainer if you want a great camera with just enough bells & whistles to keep anyone happy!

just brought this camera home and I had had the sony a6000 previously for 4 years of tun times but it's malfunctioning and I'm headed on a trip of a lifetime so I upgraded to the a6400 but....none of my Play Memories apps will work, angle shift, time lapse, motion shot, picture in picture.....none of them:( There is also on one Auto and the a6000 had intelligent auto and superior auto. I don't know why Sony leaves things off of new models instead of adding to them.

Easy to use and set up. I used a few YouTube videos for helping with explaining each setting. The only thing that doesn't make sense and will hopefully be fixed in future updates is the human and animal eye recognition. You have to go in manually to specify which one your getting ready to photograph each time. It would be nice just to point at either and the camera automatically knows which is which. Animals and children wont wait for you to fumble your way through the menu to set the human o...

Great camera. upgraded from the a6000
About The Alpha a6400 Mirrorless Camera with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens
The a6400 brings many of Sony's most advanced technologies from their acclaimed full-frame lineup to a compact, lightweight APS-C camera. The speedy new camera boasts the world's fastesti autofocus (AF) acquisition of 0.02 seconds, while also introducing the new advanced "Real-time Eye AF" and "Real-time Tracking" capabilities. Also included are high-speed shooting at up to 11 fpsiv with AF/AE tracking, a new-generation BIONZ X image processing engine that produces excellent image quality, 4K video recording, a fully 180-degree tiltable LCD touch screen and much more, making it the ultimate tool for all types of creators ranging from professionals to vloggers.
Speedy Performance that Captures Decisive Moments
The impressive autofocus system on the new a6400 inherits many technologies from Sony's newest line-up of full-frame cameras including the a9, a7R III and a7 III models. The new a6400 features 425 phase-detection AF points and 425 contrast-detection AF points that are placed densely over the entire image area, covering approximately 84% of the image area. This high-speed, high-performance tracking AF system is paired with a new-generation BIONZ X image processing engine that together allow the camera to acquire focus in as little as 0.02 seconds and maintain subject lock extremely effectively, ensuring even the fastest moving subjects can be tracked and captured with ease.
The a6400 introduces advanced "Real-time Eye AF," the latest version of Sony's acclaimed Eye AF technology. This exciting new capability employs artificial intelligence based object recognition to detect and process eye data in real time, resulting in improved accuracy, speed and tracking performance of Eye AF. In all autofocus modes, the camera now automatically detects the eyes of the subject and activates Eye AF with a half press of the shutter button, and when in AF-C or AF-A mode, the preferred eye (left or right) of your subject can be selected as the focus point. Choices include Auto / Right Eye / Left Eye, and a Switch Right / Left Eye function is able to be assigned to a custom function as well. This exciting new technology completely frees the photographer to focus solely on composition with full trust that focus will be tack sharp on the subject's eye. Eye AF support for animals will be added in summer 2019 via a system software update, ideal for wildlife photographers.
Also debuting on the 6400 is Sony's newly developed "Real-time Tracking." This mode utilizes Sony's latest algorithm including artificial intelligence (AI) based object recognition and processes color, subject distance (depth), pattern (brightness) as spatial information to ensure that all subjects can be captured with excellent accuracy. Additionally, when photographing or videographing humans or animals, face and eye position information is recognized by AI and the subject's eye is monitored in real time with extremely high tracking precision. This can be activated by a simple half press of the shutter button , or can be assigned to a custom function as well.
In terms of overall shooting speeds, the new camera can shoot at up to 11 fps with full AF/AE tracking while utilizing the mechanical shutter, and up to 8 fps with full AF/AE tracking while silent shooting. It can shoot at each of these speeds for up to 116 frames JPEG Standard / 46 frames RAW compressed, greatly increasing the chances of capturing the perfect moment.
All-around Advancements in Image Quality
Sony's new a6400 is equipped with a 24.2 MP APS-C sized image sensor with that is paired with an upgraded BIONZ X processor to deliver incredible advancements in image quality and color reproduction in all types of shooting conditions. Standard ISO ranges up to ISO 32000 for both still and movie, and is expandable up to ISO 102400 for still images, with excellent noise reduction at medium and high sensitivities.
The camera also inherits many of the image processing algorithms from Sony's newest full-frame cameras, greatly suppressing noise while preserving resolution and improving texture depiction.
Advanced High-Resolution 4Kvi Movie Recording with Fast Hybrid Autofocus
The versatile a6400 is an exceptional video camera, offering internal 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) movie recording with full pixel readout and no pixel binning to collect about 2.4x the amount of data required for 4K movies, and then oversamples it to produce high quality 4K footage with exceptional detail and depth. Focusing during movie shooting is fast and stable thanks to upgraded Fast Hybrid AF technology, which keeps the subject in constant smooth focus no matter the scene, and even if an object crosses in front of the camera. This advanced AF plus touch focus functionality make it an ideal camera choice for many vloggers and video creators that are regularly creating and uploading content online
For time-lapse movie creation , the new camera features built-in interval recording that can be set anywhere between 1 and 60 seconds, with a total number of shots from 1 to 9999. AE tracking sensitivity can be adjusted to "High", "Mid" or "Low" during interval shooting, allowing for reduced changes in exposure over the shooting interval.
Additionally, for the first time in Sony APS-C mirrorless camera, the new model includes an HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) picture profile, which supports an Instant HDR workflow, allowing HDR (HLG) compatible TV's to playback beautiful, true-to-life 4K HDR imagery. Further, both S-Log2 and S-Log3 are available for increased color grading flexibility, as well as Zebra functionality, Gamma Display assist and proxy recording. The camera can also record Full HD at 120 fps at up to 100 Mbps, allowing footage to be reviewed and eventually edited into 4x or 5x slow-motion video files in Full HD resolution with AF tracking.
Upgraded Build to Maximize Versatility
The new camera is designed to offer a high level of functionality and customization to maximize shooting freedom. New on the a6400 is a fully 180-degree tiltable, 3.0-type LCD flip screen with 921k-dots of resolution that allows for simple and effective framing of selfie-style shooting for both still and video capture. Utilizing this capability, vloggers will be able to check and monitor composition throughout their entire creative process. The LCD screen is also equipped with touch functionality, with options for Touch Pad, Touch Focus, Touch Shutter and new Touch Tracking which quickly activates "Real-time Tracking" through the touch screen.
The camera features a high quality XGA OLED Tru-finder viewfinder, extensive customization with 89 functions that are assignable to 8 custom keys, the new My Dial and My Menu functionality, enhanced overall menu usability, a help screen for menus, star rating for images, and many other features that allow for a seamless shooting experience. It is also built with a tough magnesium alloy design and has an extremely durable shutter that is rated for approximately 200,000 cycles . It also is capable of seamlessly transferring files to a smartphone or tablet when connected to the brand new Imaging Edge Mobile application
