This is my first mirrorless camera and I'm glad I have picked Sony. It's incredible from build to image quality and compactness, it's worth the price!

I love the marriage of compact form factor and full frame camera technology. Paired with smaller lenses this is a great walk-around setup.

Excellent pictures but worried about dark circles which are appearing at various places in my images, most noticeable in areas of sky.

Exactly as advertised and reviewed. I?m transitioning from Canon, so still getting used to the configuration. Love love love the size and everything that Sony managed to pack into this little body

The A7C is basically the A7iii in a compact body. There are less button options but if you are coming for an a6000 series camera then this won?t be an issue. It?s a great full sensor camera with IBIS but also has gyro data you can steady the shot with in post. Adorama sent this to me fast and with a signature required which I love because it?s not just sitting there waiting for a porch pirate.

This is an excellent camera for travel and simple day hikes around town or elsewhere. It is a great size, lightweight, but also feels good in your hands. The quality of the photos is excellent with the kit lens. I would definitely recommend it.

Sony a7c, I used it like an iPhone. I took photos and videos without drawing much attention. It's easy to carry around. I even had it my hand for a whole day and never felt a thing. The image quality is great. I am also liking the new colors from Sony. The menu system is not smooth, but not a deal breaker. I am having a fun time using my new Sony a7c. I think it's worth the extra money over a Sony a6400 or a6600.

Just another Sony clone of the A7 III that is a tiny bit smaller.

To be clear, I'm glad I bought this. It adds something new to my hardware portfolio. The size and weight is appealing and it looks nice too. But the OS is excruciatingly slow, the viewfinder uselessly small, and a great dearth of buttons and knobs with which to control basic features. Using the camera is a lesson in patience, especially when your main unit is a snappy A1.

Superb mirrorless full-frame camera in a really small package. Kit lens much better -sharper, versatile- than expected. Just swapped into the Sony system from a different brand and couldn?t be more pleased with the improvements in image quality and focusing system.

I really like this camera. It?s small, full frame, and with a small lens, easily slides and fits into fanny packs and bags compared to a DSLR. Having a lens with an aperture ring helps the handling a lot so you don?t have to over use your thumb. Also, I haven?t had a camera with a digital viewfinder before and after reading other reviews I was worried about the size, however, the viewfinder works just fine for me. Not having a viewfinder on top really makes this camera more accessible to bring with you. Besides, you also have a screen. I switched over from Pentax DSLR and overall the handling isn?t as good as that. Pentax just get?s it with handling, however, the size and autofocus EASILY makes up for it. And besides, you get good at what you practice so even though the handling isn?t the best, with practice it it?s fine. Did I mention how good the autofocus is? If you are coming from a DSLR you will be blown away.

I went weeks at a time without taking photos using my Nikon D500 kit. When I used it, I loved it. But times between uses were ever lengthening. The A7c hangs beside my keys and my mask, and it goes out with me every single day. If I'm with the kid, I grab the kit lens and it's basically a point and shoot on steroids. If I'm alone or with the wife, I grab the 24-70/f4 or 85/f1.8 and have a completely capable kit for portfolio/print ready shots. It's usable in any light and the results are always shockingly sharp. Technical specs and various photo nerd needs aside... It just FEELS good. It's versatile and a joy to use. It reminds me of a Leica or Ricoh in that regard. Quirks and quibbles disappear when it comes time to shoot and it just becomes an extension of you. Traded a mountain of old gear for it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I bought this back in the Summertime, and it's been a bit of a challenge to learn. It's VERY nicely set up with wide angle photos (great for landscapes with different lenses) and the manual adjustment is smooth and easy. I'm not too fond of the sudden 'microscoping' when using the manual focus, but I'm used to it. I kinda wish I could turn that off though. Overall a nice camera, good for photos and video, the battery doesn't burst into flames when you go over 10 minutes of running it, and the battery life is AMAZING. I use the camera almost every day.

Rolling shutter is terrible in silent shooting mode. Flash sync speed is 1/125 of a second, not good. Everything else is okay. I feel like they could have made this even smaller. For example, use a smaller battery. I have no problem carrying around 3 batteries. The thing is, it's a compact full frame camera. Why settle for mediocre compact when it can get even smaller. I'd much prefer they work on something like the rx100 with a better sensor but instead we got the a7c. just an extra little note to add. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the evf or the grip. You hear a lot of complaints in camera reviews about it. They are fools. It's a compact camera. Buy it for compact purpose. Compact it, make the grip smaller, make the viewfinder hard to find, I don't care.

The camera itself is an excellent camera, but the kit lens Sony 28-60 mm zoom ring did not rotate smoothly and stopped at 50 mm mark. Not a Sony quality so I returned the whole thing, the camera and it?s lens to Adorama, which Adorama replace it immediately and still waiting for the arrival of the new replacement. I am very happy with the focus and exposure of the camera

This is honestly too much camera for me- I?m definitely not a photographer. Even with my lack of experience/talent it takes amazing photos, and videos. Definitely want to get more lenses, so it?s easy to see how this can quickly become an expensive hobby. Looking forward to capturing a lot of adventures, and memories in the future.

By SEONGCHAN J.
It is a compact full-frame camera. Some say that that this camera do not have enough custom buttons. But I would rather have a smaller size camera that I can easily take with me and take more pictures with. And there are dozens of videos on Youtube that helped me utilize the necessary functions with more ease. So far, I have nothing to complain about this camera. I also purchased a compact lens (40mm 2.5G) that can maximize its mobility. What can I say? This camera rekindled the passio...

Uncompromised Full-Frame Performance In A Compact Design.
The new Alpha 7C combines Sony’s full-frame image quality, advanced AF capabilities and versatile video shooting functions in a stunningly light and compact design. The new camera features a 24.2MP (approx. effective) 35mm full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ X™ image processing engine, offering high sensitivity, outstanding resolution, 15-stop wide dynamic range and high-speed image data processing.
The World’s Smallest & Lightest Full-frame Zoom Lens with High Image Quality.
The new FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 offers the world’s smallest and lightest form factor in a standard zoom lens, delivering high optical performance that achieves the high-resolution depiction of full-frame everywhere in the image. Optimal arrangement of the three aspherical lens elements effectively suppresses aberrations throughout the zoom range and realizes high resolution from corner to corner. A minimum focus distance of 0.99 foot (0.3m) (wide-angle) to 1.48 feet (0.45m) (telephoto) delivers close-up capability, making it perfect for everyday use or vlogging with a gimbal or grip.
Outstanding Full-Frame Image Quality.
Sony’s new Alpha 7C combines high resolution with low noise for excellent image quality at all sensitivities, offering the user stunning image quality for shooting everyday photography and movies such as nature, portraits, sports, street photography and more. Standard ISO extends up to 51,200 and is expandable from ISO 50-204,800 for low-light environment captures with low noise. The Alpha 7C also supports 16-bit processing and 14-bit RAW output for natural gradations.
The Alpha 7C also features continuous shooting at up to 10 fps with AF/AE (autoexposure) by using a newly developed shutter unit and refined image processing system. It is also possible to shoot continuously at up to 8 fps in live view mode, with minimal viewfinder/monitor display lag for easy, stable framing, even with intense subject motion.
Advanced Autofocus.
Using AI-driven functions, the Alpha 7C’s Real-time Tracking maintains accurate focus automatically while the shutter button is half-pressed. In addition, “Tracking On + AF-On” is now assignable to a custom key and can be activated at once while the AF-ON button is pressed. Moreover, the intended subject can be specified just by touching it on the monitor when “Touch Tracking” has been turned ON via the menu and is available for both stills and movies. The Alpha 7C’s AF functions also feature Real-time Eye AF for both humans and animals to achieve fast and accurate focus. When using Real-time Tracking while “Face/Eye Priority in AF” is ON with a human subject, the subject’s eye and face is detected and locked on in real-time with extremely high tracking precision.
The Alpha 7C provides wide, fast, reliable AF that locks onto the intended subject instantly without losing focus, thanks to its 693-point focal-plane phase-detection AF system covering approximately 93 percent of the image area, with an additional 425 contrast-detection points to ensure reliable focus, even in busy environments.
Expanded Video Capabilities.
Full-frame full-pixel readout without the need for pixel binning makes it possible to capture more than twice the amount of data required for 4K video (QFHD: 3840 x 2160), which is then oversampled to produce high quality 4K footage with exceptional detail and depth. In addition, the Alpha 7C supports HDR (HLG) and S-Log/S-Gamut profiles, Slow & Quick motion, high-speed full HD recording at 120 fps and other advanced video features for additional creative freedom.
Designed For Reliable Operation.
The Alpha 7C is designed with the user in mind.
