I was looking for an upgrade from my dated Mavica FD5, DSC-F717, & a350 gear. My research resulted in either the a7iii or a7Riii for my personal camera needs. I ended up deciding on the a7Riii (ILCE7RM3). Upon receipt and initial setup, I found this model camera is absolutely a "beast". The metal case feels very solid in the hand. The menus are easy and intuitive to navigate. So far the images captured are absolutely stunning and solidify my decision to upgrade to more modern features and capabilities. Thank you Sony!

Liked this camera from the start
I've had this a7r3 for a couple years and I still enjoy using it every time I pick it up.

bad experience with sony
I have the really bad experience with sony.I bought 2 cameras sony 7r3 and 7r4 and both was with big issues and the company sony doesn't want respond with a new camera just did a reparations and the cameras continuing with problems.The cameras was really really expensive and I am really frustrated !!

What tremendous upgrade from a crop sensor.
Purchased along with a Sigma 24-70mm f2.8.
Probably the best tech purchase of the last 10 years. I?m just now getting into photography and am already moving up from a Nikon D5600. What a difference! With barely any skill my photos have gone from okay at best to practically perfect. I spend a little time in post, but honestly the pictures are brilliant as they are. I primarily shoot at small events for my wife?s work. Group portraits, candid dinner shots, people dancing, essentially the equivalent of 50 person weddings. This camera performs expertly and makes me look like a semi-pro.
I still need learn a lot about low light photography and composition, but this camera makes it a joy. I whole heartedly believe the cost is worth it, and wish I had held out for the refresh.

Amazing quality
I am a physician by profession but take photography as a passion. If you are an advance photographer my review might not help you.
I got the camera from adorama with a package. I was using Nikon system but one of my friends suggested to try out Sony mirrorless system. I bought Sony a7iii first used it for few days then realized the beauty of megapixel in landscape photography. Went to a nearby store and try out the a7riii. Basically you ll not feel a difference in the camera screen apart from a slight better quality in a7riii but when you put it for post processing you ll have the joy of the details you can see with the massive 42 megapixel. I have been using it only for past 15-20 days but i am really impressed with the quality and strongly recommend it. Another benefit over other mirrorless is sony and other third party have a huge lens selection. Planning to buy few good optics soon.

Great kit!
Great basic kit, the backpack it is nice and sturdy, it will save you some money just by getting the extra battery and the backpack, I have not tested the mic yet but I'm no concern about it since I have pro audio gear and this is just my photo camera.

Awesome camera.
The Sony A7R III is an awesome camera system. You can get detail review on YouTube, so I am not going to say too much about it’s various features. I am going to give you my experience with the camera. I have two kids, and I mainly use the camera to take pictures of my kids.
-1- Weight
I used to have Sony A6000. One of the reason that I don’t want to switch was the weight. I carry my camera and run around with my kids, so weight matters a lot. And I am no Dwayne Johnson, so I don’t have the muscle to carry anything heavy. However, putting a prime lens on my A7R iii, I don’t feel my camera is much heavier than my A6000 with a prime lens. So this is not an issue for me.
-2- Geotagging.
This camera can geotag my photos for me. This was the feature I want for my A6000. This is awesome because I don’t have to remember where the photo was taken. However, the app is not as intuitive and reliable as I would like.
-3- Autofocus and tracking
The autofocus on A7R3 is much better.

Outstanding service
Adorama is the best. You don’t have to worry about the products when you buy from here. Great customer service, flexible refund/ return policy. I’ve bought my first Nikon D3200 from adorama and bought D750 and bunch of lenses and accessories, never had a problem. When I ordered my Sony a7riii after 3 days it went on sale so I called them and they got me the new one and refunded the other one in this way I saved $500. Thanks adorama for being the best.

Great combo
The Sony a7R III is a fast focusing camera and not my first. The Flashpoint syncs well and is a great deal considering the price of a Sony flash. Great combo kit and a good price.

Best of its Kind.
Best camera I've owned, including prior Sony cameras. Just a pleasure to use. Light sensitivity and ease of focusing are two of the main benefits. It's compact, lightweight, dependable and the battery lasts for a really long time. Added bonus is you can recharge the battery with USB.

Great package for anyone getting into photography
Great package since there are a bunch of extras for the same price as the just getting the camera body. The SD card reader unfortunately does not work with the 64GB SDXC card that comes with the set, but since it is basically free, it's hard to complain. Everything else is very useful for someone just getting started.

A7R iii one of the best all around camera's
I was going to go for the A7R4, glad i held back and went this route. No need for such big files until i feel the A7R iii is not enough. Stunning images from the A7R iii, better landscape type images than on my A7 iii, better richer color rendition, sharpness clarity is stellar. Low light it can not match my A7 iii, but does a great job considering 42 MP. Menu's are not much different than my A7 iii making it easy to use. I am really looking forward to doing some big prints from this camera. The Shinobi monitor really helps big time in manual focusing, also a great product all around. Very happy with both.

Sony a7riii is a top notch camera with great photo results and very easy to use!
The Sony A7riii is a wonderful camera! Easy to use, menus are similar to other Sony cameras so it was easy to navigate through them and find what I needed. Photos are wonderful from this camera. Tried some low light photos at a rally where the light was from one strobe source. Had to set the ISO to 10,000. The photos were flawless even at that high ISO setting. Outdoor scenery… wonderful! Very pleased with this purchase and all of the useful items that came in the bundle!
