my camera is just out of the box and the sensor and shutter inside are messed up and crooked. i have tried calling contact support as their site states they're open on saturday. continuously no response. this was my first sony purchase and i don't plan to purchase again if this is how support will be.

This is an amazing camera. I'm soooo glad I made this purchase. I'm an amateur photographer but you can't tell with these photos that I'm capturing. Beautiful crisp images, this camera does all the work for you. It's worth every penny.

So far an amazing camera. Defiantly an upgrade to the A7RIV. It's not the fastest for sports. Im still working through the tracking setting. Im getting way more keepers even though it's not as fast as an A1 or A9. But for an all around camera Amazing.

In the recent past, I considered leasing a 3-lens, 2-body medium format system. Love the stunning DR of any MF system. Any competent pro would see a marginal difference in medium format vs the A7rV. 95% of any client wouldn't notice. Upgrading to the A7rV, and with the backend support of Sony's expansive lens' option, I am thrilled that I stayed with Sony as my primary money-making system. I shoot product, architecture, corporate and even some events. Shooting full rez uncompressed raws for the big jobs, and compressed raws (incl. apsc) for pr use, this body is ultimately flexible.

Image quality, auto focus, ergonomics, speed, screen - all amazing. The only things I'd improve are the battery life and blackouts during burst shooting.

Love the camera and got the flash as an extra goodie. I own godox flashes so the triggers work with this powerful little flash...and bonus my ad200 accessories work as well.

Love this camera so much! Sensor cropping with video is a bit of a bummer, but you can upsample from S35. AF is amazing, flip out screen is awesome. Take time to set up your custom buttons and this camera is a solid work horse.

Great product! After years of using the Sony A7iii it was time to upgrade and I couldn't be any happier with the purchase of the Sony A7rV. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking to take their photography to the pro level!

Great camera, what can I say ... I use it mostly for landscape photography. Images are as what you would expect from 62MPX. Low light at high ISO - is not an issues at all ....

So far it has been wonderful. My Sony, A7Rii died Thanksgiving day. Fortunately, Black Friday was the next day and I got a great deal. And the camera was here by Monday. I have already photographed a basketball game , Christmas cookie making, and tree decorating. The new menu is a learning curve, and unfortunately, there's no manual with the camera. I had to look it up online, which I don't like to do, but that's just me. I like to have a book I can hold in my hand and write on.

I have an a6600 that works well. I was expecting to get great 'birds in flight' shots with the a7r V. So far I am disappointed in the results. Perhaps a firmware update will help. However for stills this is an excellent camera. The "in flight" shots are not bad... but not as good as the a1

The auto focus is a major improvement and I think this camera now fits a good niche for serious photographers who still don't want to go all the pay to purchasing an A1.

I upgraded from A7R IV to this camera. Initially I was skeptical about making only one generational upgrade but support of CFexpress alone was enough for me. I shoot uncompressed RAW and used to suffer with R IV's buffer and UHS-II. With this camera I can continuously shoot uncompressed RAW without missing any shots. AI autofocus is on point and few step improvement over R IV. I have noticed AF struggling with R IV and this camera rarely misses a shot. Shoutout to Adorama team for going above and beyond for me. I forgot my SD card in old camera while trading in. Marquita from customer support sent me a new replacement card so that I was covered for an upcoming trip to UK. I cant thank enough.

I recently purchased the Sony a7R V from Adorama, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This camera has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. Adorama sales answered all my questions and help me to select the additional equipment that I wanted/needed. The camera, lens and accessories shipped promptly, arrived in excellent condition. Excellent experience!!! I highly recommend Adorama.

Innovative new features in comparison to the previous Ilce-7R line of cameras. Adapted quickly for the necessary new features, but whould still prefer to reinstate some of the options, that where for example in the a7r3. having the possibility to change ISO during video, with other small surprises like a certain codec not reconized for viewing In Widows, surprised to change for a speadier sd in S&Q, during video shooting. whould have appreciated to know before and or also 2 options in 4k S&Q. ! So hoping that for the next firmware upgrade there will include more options as well as before photo/video shooting.

As a wildlife and landscape photographer, the a7RV is perfect for me. The ergonomics, the weight, the quality, and the resolution - not to mention the IBIS - are superb.

Terrible resolution with the 200-600 mm lens and basically worthless for birds and wildlife. Even my a7r3 is much better. I hoped the bird eye auto focus would be better but I don't see much improvement although it improved a lot for recognizing people. Basically for what I needed I didn't benfit in buying this accept for the flip screen and improved stabilization. The menu is better but I was used to the old one. It does a nice job with the 100-400 lens especially if you heavily crop an image. It goes through batteries faster so take several.

Impressed with the autofocus and love the video features. Upgraded from the A7RII AND WHAT AN IMPRESSIVE UPGRADE! I also got the 50 mm f/1.2 mm GM and I have a powerhouse. Worth the upgrade from older camera systems.

I finally upgraded from my a-mount a99ii. This is the first e-mount Sony that has been comparable to it. The ISO quality is very impressive. I rarely ever went over 800 with my A99ii, or A77. I had and indoor event I took photos at and used 6400+ on some of the photos and it did very well. There does still seem to be a RAW file reading issue with LR though as the colors are way off for indoor photos. Even when I have my white balance manually set at say 3800k for an interior real estate photo, it looks yellow/orange when LR opens it even though the camera shows it correctly. But the Jpg file looks fine. I do also wish the smaller RAW files they have offered a smaller compressed file. For example, the 18mp file is un-compressed so you really don't save that much space. The only time I use the smaller RAW files is for Real Estate. I don't really like the placement of the lens release button as it's harder to change lenses in my opinion. I'm not sure when they changed that placement, but it's something I'm having a hard time getting used to.

My favorite camera ever.
By BENJAMIN N.
Absolutely love this Camera. I started out with a very old Nikon over a decade ago. Then started playing around with the famous Canon t3i. Then decided to get something really nice, so I landed on the Nikon D850. I liked the camera a lot but wasn?t ticking some boxes. The autofocus to me was the biggest zonk. Then I made an odd move over to Sony and got the a7RIV. What a camera. Just so great in so many ways. First real camera that I fell in love with. Over time I needed a little better autof...

Impressive Animal AI
By Kevin J.
First time I had this camera out and the Animal AI is pretty impressive. Shooting through a fence unsung the 70-200GMII this camera was able to identify the wolf?s body and then continued to search for its eye to make for an awesome shot. I?m very impressed and can?t wait to se what else this camera willl capture. Def worth the upgrade from the A7RIV. Adorama makes the trade in process easy.
continues Sony’s legacy of high-quality, high-resolution image powerhouses. Building upon the success of its predecessor in the R line, this new 2022 Sony camera has an all-new 61.0 MP full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor paired with Sony’s latest BIONZ XR image processing engine. Whether you’re a photographer or filmmaker, it's safe to expect extreme versatility and clear imagery from the Sony a7R V Camera.
The α7R V's AF system delivers dramatically enhanced overall performance, drawing on major improvements in subject recognition performance. Deep learning technology supports powerful Real-time Recognition AF as well as more reliable Real-time Tracking which is supported by higher Fast Hybrid AF performance over a wider area.
This newest generation of the α7R series continues the pursuit of high image resolution, delivering the highest resolution at low sensitivity in the series thus far. The 35mm full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor with 61.0 million pixels and the latest BIONZ XR image processing engine are used to their fullest potential to deliver extraordinary resolution and fine subject detail.
The XAVC HS format enables in-camera recording of high-resolution, high-quality 8K (7680 x 4320) 24p/25p movies with efficient HEVC/H.265 compression, bringing out the very best in Sony's lenses and taking full advantage of the resolution provided by the sensor and full-pixel readout. Even the finest subject details are faithfully captured. Full frame and Super 35mm formats can be selected for 4K movie recording. Full pixel readout in the Super 35mm mode without the need for pixel binning makes 6.2x oversampling possible for 4K movies. The XAVC S-I (All-Intra) or the XAVC HS format is supported, with 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling.
Sony's newly developed 4-axis multi-angle monitor combines the utility of a conventional tilting monitor with side-opening vari-angle flexibility. It allows greater shooting freedom by providing unrestricted angle adjustment in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
The Sony a7R V camera offers advanced AI technology that has never been seen before in a Sony camera body. It powers the unit’s advanced real-time recognition AF for even more accurate tracking and focusing abilities. There are now seven subject options: Human, Animal/Bird, Animal, Bird, Insect, Car/Train, and Airplane. This vastly improves the camera’s subject recognition accuracy, which can detect human forms and poses seamlessly. It can also find and follow the eye and body movements of nearly any animal or insect.
The new a7R V offers 61.0MP still images, including advanced image stabilization with an 8-stop compensation effect and 15 stops of dynamic range. But while photographers will love this camera, it doesn’t need to stop at stills. Users can also achieve 8K video at 24/25p and 4K video at 50/60p (10bit). And for streamers, the a7R V also has UCV/UAC USB streaming of 4K video and internal recording while streaming.
Alongside its revolutionary interior, the Sony a7R V has a new 4-axis multi-angle LCD monitor and a 9.44-million dot electronic viewfinder. Capture more footage with two CFexpress Type A/SDXC media slots and new USB streaming capabilities via UVC/UAC to stream 4K video and audio.
