Review Summary
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H90 Digital Camera (Red) is an attractive point-and-shoot that boasts high resolution stills, 720p video capture, Optical SteadyShot and a number of other stellar features. Svelt though it may be, the H90 is no slouch when it comes to recording high-quality images. The 16.1 MP still capture is helped along in its mission by 16x optical zoom, a 3.0" LCD screen, the aforementioned image stabilization and many other functions. Many of these same facets of the camera also help to record the 720p HD movies as well.
In addition to the core tools of the H90, the auto features enable successful image making without the guesswork. Sweep Panorama mode allows for panoramic images of up to 360 degrees. Face detection and Smile Shutter work to make sure everyone looks their best and other features like Anti-blink, Face Priority and Red-eye Reduction do the same. iSCN detects up to 33 scene conditions and automatically adjusts the camera's settings based on the situation, while Natural Flash corrects color balance for life-like shots.
