Very good photo quality, good features but not so straight forward getting videos on to pc. I've had the camera a while, only recently worked out how to get videos to play on pc and not sure how to get them to stay on pc. Also black background and photo can't be displayed shows up after photos have been transferred to pc. Otherwise good size, vg quality, vg video quality just wish it was a bit more simple.

The pictures are so crisp and sharp compared to my old Sony, which, as it got older, when you took a picture you never knew if it would be in focus or not. It also doesn't require the flash unless the room is fairly dim. The night shots I've tried to take don't turn out - it tries to lighten the sky, so the pictures look grainy. The focus is a real pain. It's very stiff, which makes it difficult to only adjust it a little at a time. It zoom in or out a lot - you can't do just a little at a time no matter how hard you try. Then a few months after it was out of warranty the door to the memory card wouldn't shut all the way so the camera would tell me there was no memory card inserted. I haven't been hard on the camera - keep it in a padded case in my purse, so it's not handled roughly. When I contacted the store where I bought it, their response was that I could pay their service company to fix it because since it was out of warranty Sony wouldn't do anything. I ended up solving the problem by putting a small piece of paper folded up between the memory card and door so it would push the card down far enough for the camera to read that the card was there. Since I've now had problems with both Sony cameras I've purchased, I think I'll go with a different brand the next time.

This is the third camera I have had from sony and these cameras are great. I have tried other brands and they do not have the great sound recording that sony has. Stereo recording with the 2 microphones. They last 2 or 3 years. I like to go to live concerts and record for 2 hours straight and they work great. I have 4 batteries and 2 memory cards so I can record for quite a long time.

I think the camera is brilliant, the only complaint I have about it is the Play memories Mobile software, BY DEFAULT shrinks all the pictures, if you copy them, but gives no warning that it is doing so. If you rely on them being stored on a tablet and delete from the camera you can end up with shrunken pictures. So be warned of this

This is a great camera, it takes great pictures and it is very easy and light to carry on trips.. Unfortunately I lost the charger and have not been able to find a new one so I cannot use it... My advice: DO NOT LOOSE THE CHARGER!!! But enjoy the camera!!

It's like all new cameras that it takes a while to get used to settings etc. You can control the camera with my iPad if you want and send Wifi to I pad or desk top

Excellent item, but with all the features in such a small camera, it can be a little difficult at first. to navigate all the settings required to adjust it to the owners personal requirements. The wifi set up can also prove to be a slight problem to those unfamiliar with such technicalities. The software installation was somewhat irritating, as it kept saying that an update was required,which took several minutes to do, before it was able to be used. Eventually it was uninstalled and another program used.

I have had this camera for almost 12 months, while I absolutely love the features this camera has is awesome ... I can not say the same thing for the outer shell / covering of it .... It is extremely cheap and nasty while the front cover is metal that's really good but the back covering is plastic. I use my camera a lot and take it with me in a hard camera case every were but it has not stood up general usage with the back cover broke on the bottom in the middle along the edge of the LCD the plastic is to thin... also recently the screw part for the tripod also snapped and is also made of plastic. I find this pretty disappointing because it will not last like my previous quality cameras I have had. I would of loved to has seen this camera in a much sturdier covering then I would of most likely have given it a 5 star rating

I used this today for the first time in earnest at a motor racing event and am amazed to find both the photos and the HD video to be very comparable to my Panasonic FZ200. A big package in a small frame indeed. The only complaint I would make is that the video button would be better placed on top next to the shutter button, not on the back, or being able to switch the shutter button between video or photo when set to video

No one can believe I entered a professional art show and was accepted to show my photo entry taken with my Sony Cyber Shot camera. My photos do not require any "photo fix" type program. The features these Sony cameras provide are wonderful. I am hooked on mine and take it everywhere I go.

I bought this 12 days ago at gatwick airport, and used it constantly on a week's holiday in Lanzarote. Handy little size, easy to use and takes good pictures. Very happy with it. Installed the software, SonyMemoriesHome, on my Windows 7 laptop, twice, but every time you try to use the software, it says it needs 10 minutes to update, and even if I leave it on overnight, it never does the update. At home, I installed the software on my XP desktop, but when I tried to run it, I learned that you need Vista, 7 or 8 to make it operate. So I've got a nice camera, but no software!

I purchased this a couple of months ago at the airport prior to going on holiday and have had no regrets. The camera is really easy to use and small enough to fit in a pocket making it great for taking spontaneous photos. The quality of the photos and video is also excellent and much better than our old camera. Overall a great camera for the price.

I bought this as a holiday camera. As such it is very competant and technically capable. BUT some of the controls are just TOO small and the manual although listing items like 'changing white balance', doesn't tell you how! Excellent quality but frustrating.
