Love it!

Im a beginner, and I fell in love with this camera as soon as I turned it on! Excellent for taking portrait photos and the quality is just brilliant! Such a low price for such a great camera

Very easy to use

This is my first DSLR and so far it has been great. I love that is is very easy to use, if you are familiar with Sony point and shoot cameras you should have no problem. I have had the opportunity to use other DSLR cameras and Sony made this one user friendly. The only draw back is that the built in flash is kind of weak but if you are taking pictures without flash at night the quality is amazing. My friend has a Nikon and the quality is superb to his. I compared all the cameras at this price range (Sony, Nikon, Canon) and this one had way more to offer. If you are looking for a DSLR in this price range you should do the same. I am almost positive that you will like all the feature that the Sony has to offer. Next DSLR I get will be another Sony.
