Goodbye Medium Format Analog???
I have been shooting mostly Landscape Pictures for the last ten years with Medium Format Slides and then scan and then Photoshop.... etc... I also have had several digital cameras in 35mm digital from Canon and Konica Minolta/Sony ranging from 6 Mpix to 17 Mpix and they all disappointed me when it comes to pure details for landscape pictures and specially to print large canvas images of 40*60 Inches or more... So, up to now, I always stuck to my GOOD OLD MEDIUM FORMAT 645 SLIDES... UNTIL TODAY!!! This is by far the best digital 35mm camera I ever tested and coupled with the Carl Zeiss 24-70mm Zoom (SAL2470Z), it gives incredible sharp images. The image detail surely rivals medium format analog slides! I will no longer use my medium format analog camera, except maybe for long exposures (over 30 seconds) after or before sunset, where the digital sensor seems to get hot and create noise and color distortions. Only thing Sony needs to improve is the noise in high ISO 1600 or more.... Otherwise, definitely a WINNER!!!
