Hope that helpsRICH D : Mine is soft rubber and fits perfectly.VINCE W : Yes, it's soft on the eye side and hard plastic on the camera side. I don't recall if it's made by Sony or not, but it's virtually identical to the original eye piece.

Do any other manufactures make a replacement?BARRY B : Hi David, I cannot say with certainty that it does fit, however, a lot of circumstantial evidence leads me to believe it will: 1) They are of the same product line 2) The body styles are very very alike 3) I would bet dollars to donuts that the eyepiece and cup connections were just copied from the previous models for the A77 it would be the A55, and so on. 4) That kind of redesign costs money and would not be something the manufacturer would do. They try to keep the costs down to increase profits. 5) If there is a difference it would more likely be internal, rather than cosmetic, that is the eyepiece cup and the connections. 6) Besides, if it doesn't properly snap in place Adorama is very good at returns. Not much to lose except some time. I hope I have helped some.

The shipping was supposed to get the part to me by midweek. The part arrived in Friday, after I had left for a photo shoot.

This was a replacement part for my camera. It was the correct part and worked as desired.

You get what you pay for.

After reading other reviews on non-Sony made eye cups, I decided to buy the Sony name brand. I'm glad I did, it fit perfectly and snapped securly into place. Plus, it is a soft silcone cup vs the not-so-soft plastic used on other brands. One little fact: once installed, don't take back off. This is probally why I lost my original eye cup, I had removed it twice and this loosened the retaining clips. Pay a small amount more for a better product that works correctly.

Replacement for original eye cup.

Purchased as a replacement for the original eye cup for my Sony A77ii camera. In every way equal to the original. Cost was lower than what I expected.

Good product, reasonable price, quick response. What else can I say? It was great. My best recommendation is try not to lose yours, but if you need to replace one, Adorama is a great resource.

Great genuine Sony replacement.

I was skeptical that it would not look or fit just like the one that came originally with the camera. But I was surprised it wasn't an off brand, but a Sony genuine replacement piece. (I've had experiences before with other products that are marked "genuine" but when received were off brand). But eyecup snapped right into place, looks great and most importantly, its comfortable. A must for these Sony cameras that have the EVF.

Works fine, but where is a replacement for the A99

This is a nice and relatively cheap replacement should your eye cup get damaged in any way. But where is the replacement for the A99? Its been out for a long time now to not have such a basic accessory. Please, Please create one as soon as possible mine is driving me crazy.

Works perfectly

This item is just what I needed when I noticed the Eyepiece was missing after another mountain hike. I noticed a minor scrape on my A77 pointing at where the eyepiece used to be. Fortunately, the eyepiece took the impact and saved my A77 from damage. The replacement part just slides right on and holds on as it was designed to. Comfortable and does a great job.
