This case fits the a5100 and gives it a little more bulk which is a better feel in my hands. However, the description states "It's also possible to mount the camera on a tripod while it rests in the case." The mounting screw on the case doesn't allow this (the picture in the description is accurate). So I should have paid attention to the picture of the bottom of the case rather than the written description.

you have to remove a screw in order to do anythingwith the bottom of the camera like put in the battery or the chip.
