Excellent voices, high quality product. Does not get a 5 because Sony has no map updates available and has given up on GPS business.

I have nothing negative to say. I made several long distant trips to California,Florida and Ohio and it never let me down. Very easy to operate. I especially like the bluetooth cell phone feature.

Entering a address is harder than ever in a GPS devise. More than 50% of address is not programmed. Very latest experince route 202 in La-colle, QC. Its not there... its not only one..... tons.. Vey very poor or not at all trafic information. on July 15 2009 I was driving from Montrial to Val-Morin. On the 15 North It was blocked for kilometres. I didn't know that. On the trafic information (on route)its not found. Not on route it has some other information. Obviouly trafic info is subbed & its working at that region... I strugged on trafic for 3 hours. Rerouting also didn't show the closest route.... Samething July 6 2009 from Niagra falls to Ajax, ON. On the way there was an exit closed. I passed the exit & rerouting there was a huge traffic jam. Both information was not in "On route" What a dissapointment. It doesn't play any jpeg pics even taken by sony camera. video files playing very poor. picture jamms. not sync with audio & video. It plays mp3 files.

The NV-94T plans routes poorly. It often takes me on routs that are miles longer than they should be. It doesen't seem to matter which route plan it is set to. On Cape Cod it always would take me over the Bourne Bridge only to put me back on the Sagamore, for example. The Magellan unit I had before had much better route planning however it kept crashing making it useless. The Sony is realiable but lacks good route planning. The NVD-U21N update did not improve route planning.

I purchased mine at a Sony Outlet Store. 80% of my work day is driving so this comes in real handy. I love all of the features (touchscreen, bluetooth, etc.). Once you read the manual... it's VERY user friendly!

I have in the last month tried 8 different gps models with screens ranging from 3.5 all the way up to 4.8 And yes i went out and bought 8 units and tested them all at the same time my dash and windshield was loaded of those units the NV-U94T was the only one i found to be justifiably acceptable the others went back . the features are fantastic and the directions are both clear and precise i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this unit

Best GPS I have used and it has converted some of my friends to purchase it themselves after showing the many features. Simply a great product love the hands free phone and movie options cant beat it for the discounted price. Wish the screen was OLED but it shows a great picture as well.

well this is my very first GPS. im an immigrant so basically im not familiar with the places in my area here in the US, so this GPS helps me a lot with my driving. now i can go anywhere and be confident not to get lost. very reliable. i also like its other features besides being a GPS. although i had some problem with the photo viewing, but it was ok now. i thought it can read folders named PHOTOS or PICTURES just like in a PSP. but i still wish they fix this. overall i like this GPS a lot, but i wish sony have some maps besides US to download. but its still ok. ^_^

I usually really like Sony products and played with this unit in a local store enough to get a feel for the menues and controls so I bought it. In actual use this unit falls way short of my expectations and lacks many of the useful features I've grown acustom to on my older, smaller screen Garmin 350 such as the following 1. Missing major stores in my area, but some are listed farther away. These stores are not new. 2. Takes me a couple miles out of the way when I ask it to direct me to a location even when roads are similar and there is no obvious advantage in time or speed. In another example, it told me to exit the freeway on a ramp that was 1.5 miles away from another exit that put me within a quarter mile away of my destination. I was rerouted to the closer exit once I passed the one specified by the unit. 3. The map display is poor and lacks detail. The Garmin unit displays at the top of the display, every cross streets as I approach it which is extemely useful if you are viewing the map without the unit navigating to a specific location. Cross streets names do show on the map if zoomed in to around 300', but some are not displayed next to the street on which you are traveling, but sometimes off the screen, especially if zoomed in very close. 4. Built-in speaker is not loud enough and difficult to hear with radio on (much softer than Garmin). 5. The top of the line Sony has many fewer setup and operational choices than even the cheaper Garmin models. 6. This product, along with other Sony products such as the digital reader is not compatible with my Macinstosh. I had to dig out an old Windows machine to perform the firmware updates. 7. Although mp3s worked okay, video in mpeg-4 showed up, but would not play. Jpegs failed to even list or show up in the viewer. I no longer own a Sony GPS

This is a good GPS with excellent graphics and a large size of screen. SONY's POSITION plus function actually works. U94T is supposed to be the most valuable portable GPS in the current market, however, their current map data and POI are outdated compared to other vendors and they do not have plan to perform updates anytime soon based on the information that was received from their tech support. I would recommend this unit if you would like to wait for the latest map data.

I have had the unit for just about 2 weeks now. The unit performs perfectly and the turn by turn directions are spot on. I have exported my cell phone address book to the unit via bluetooth and make all calls through the device while in the car. The speaker is loud and does not distort. People calling have no background noise or problems hearing me, its as if I was speaking through the normal phone. I have a 4GB memory stick and applied some music and MP4 movies which all play flawlessly. You cannot play videos while the device is attached to the cradle (for safety reasons).

Certainly the graphics are great with turn-by-turn instructions within a few feet accuracy. However, it picks major roads most of the time which makes you go around instead of short routes. We just bought it 3 days ago as a new year gift ourselves. We like it so far, but don't know how the battery performs. In any case, we feel it is a better value for the money although not sure of the utilization of memory stick features.

I love this unit, it's the best ever, I compared it with the Garmin 260 and the Tom Tom's, the Sony graphics were so clear and very easy to read, auto re-route was faster than the both of them. I did a lot of resreaching before I purchasing a unit and this one to be the best. I loved it so much that I purchased the compact model Nv u44 for the wife.

This is the best GPS I have ever used. Very accurate and doesn't want you to do a u-turn in the middle of the street like some other brands. Great purchase wish I had bought it a long time ago. Thanks Sony

I love the function, style, and overall reliability of this GPS. I do have a problem with the suction cup falling off the windshield when i hit some rough roads. I have switched to a bag style mount that rests on my dashboard which I actually like a lot better than the suction cup. Overall this is a great GPS and would recommend it to anyone!
