I have not had the camera long, i must admit i do find it quite overwhelming. I love the feel of the camera. I have made use of the link to the Help guide. This gives you a more in-depth explanation of the camera and how to use it. It is also good that the camera helps with choices of settings

Its a great camera but im used to a bigger zoom nikon p1000 and the canon sx70 hs has far greater zoom lenghth which i require for birding, but for landscapes its right up there with best i use for portraiture and landscapes.

I bought this to replace my Nikon 7500 and Sigma 500mm telephoto which I used on safari?s. I have been really impressed with the image quality and no longer have shoulder and arm ache. I can?t really think of anything negative to say, the camera is relatively compact, easy to use and gives great results.

3 months into using the camera and not too impressed. Struggles with focus, aperture down to 2.4 but still a busy background, trying to focus anything in the sky is hard as can't focus on subject, cumbersome, lots of noise in shots unless fairly good weather conditions, doesn't crop photos well as pixelates too much, access to dial on back slightly too far over to reach. Good points are that it's an all in one, battery life reasonable, lots of in camera options, focus hold button useful, good zoom. Overall this camera is just about OK but I rate it expensive for what it is.

Purchased recently and have been very impressed with the quality and features built into this camera along with a super 60x lens. Still experimenting as there are so many features to make use off and changing from Nikon, getting used to button positions is fun but worth it. I find the x60 zoom adequate for my personal use and the convenience of not having to carry a few lenses and dslr body when out and about is worth it,although professionals may disagree but as the majority of users are enthusiast/hobbyist/beginners its a very capable camera and well worth a purchase. My only small gripe is the spring loaded lens cap, doesnt feel very secure and keep having to check it hasnt dropped off especially when a filter has been added to lens,a small cord attached to cap and camera body would be reassuring.

Everything I say is based on having only owned the camera for 3 weeks . However, my initial reaction is extremely positive. It has already produced some super pictures and given me a great insight into its obvious potential.

I purchased my Sony RX10M3 a couple weeks ago and have been very please with the range of test shots that I have so far taken. These test shot include macro, wide angle and 600mm telephoto shot and series of fill in flash test, all of which have produced good results. The range of options and servings is at first somewhat daunting but having purchased a good user guide book and using a little common sense and experimentation I now feel comfortable with the cameras operations. The images of small birds in the garden using high speed must shutter setting are amazing. The camera on first handling feels quite heavy compared to other bridge cameras but after only a couple of week I do not really notice this, although some other users have commented on this. With the relaxation of travel rules on 26th April I am looking forward to a couple weeks in the Scottish Highlands and the chance to put the camera through it's paces etc.

I'm an old man. It took me a long time to convert to digital from film. I only used DSLR's. I got this camera because of it's versatility, quality, incredibly wide ranging lens, and sensor size. I am an outdoor person. I've used the camera now for 3 years and I just keep getting better and better with it. I have lovely 15 X 30 prints on the wall of my home shot with this. Why am I writing this today? I just returned from 3 days of kayak camping in FL Bay's 10,000 Islands. Heading out to the islands the camera was on my deck. I endured high winds and surf, 4 to 5 foot swells washed over me and the kayak. I was certain that I would be using my camera insurance to get a new one. I got to the island, and the camera was fine, worked beautifully. Besides a great all-in-one camera it is one tough beauty. I have a DSLR, GoPro's, an RX0 plus my RX10. All have their place and purpose, but if I were forced to to choose only one camera, it would hands down be my RX10.

Bought this camera through Amazon as Amazon were shown as a "recommended" retailer on Sony web page. Sony have now refused to honour their 2021 Winter cashback promotion saying that Amazon is not on the list of participating retailers. There is no option to view the list of participating retailers before making a purchase as you cannot see tis until you make a claim which 30 days after purchase. Sony are still pushing Amazon as a retailer to purchase camera from on their website. Have always bought Sony tvs for decades but will not buy another Sony product after this if this is how they behave.

We run wildlife and birdwatching trips in Torbay Devon and I wanted to improve my long range shots, couple of customers were using Sony products RX10M4 so that is the reason we purchased the M3

This could be a great camera. If only Sony could come up with a way to make it more user friendly. It has the most arcane and complex menu system .. buried in a myriad of screens are every conceivable option but you'll probably never find most of them. None of it is intuitive, you really need to buy a book to help you , and study the dozens of helpful Youtube videos that have sprung up to answer the need. On the plus side , image quality can be excellent.

I really like the product. It produces wonderful pictures. I like that I can get RAW files from a "compact" camera. My only issue is I cannot purchase apps through the PlayMemories service though I have been trying for almost 2 years.

Though I've only had this for a week, I think it is a fantastic-quality bridge camera. Sure, I'd love the fully articulated screen I've had on previous cameras, but everything it has or does is top quality.

I bought this a month ago to replace a Lumix MFT camera. Although the Sony has a slightly smaller sensor, the results are better, absolutely stunning pictures. What an amazing lens. And no need to carry additional lenses, Also, the layout of the camera seems more intuitive, I especially like the EV wheel which makes adjusting exposure so easy.

Very happy with this purchase, fortunately I have a good knowledge of photography, this camera is not for beginners. A good compromise if you want decent images without having to spend thousands on a DSLR and multiple lenses.

I bought this camera 2 weeks ago. The camera is awesome I’ve got some excellent photos whilst out on my travels. The zoom is just awesome. I’m actually enjoying using the manual mode. I’ve not yet used the movie mode yet but am sure it’s going to be fantastic with the 4K recording.

Simply brilliant
By RichardB
Having seen details of this camera, I managed to get my hands on one just after launch in the UK. It is beautifully made and top quality. Just getting used to it but the images are wonderful, the zoom is excellent and the image stabilisation works brilliantly. All in all I'm very pleased.
Excellent Camera

i bought this camera on diwali it's unique combination of DSLR & Point & Shoot it has fulfilled my all requirement.
Sony Cyber-Shot RX10 III Camera
Featuring a newly-developed 25x super-telephoto zoom lens with an extensive focal range of 24-600mm, the RX10 III camera is able to produce high-quality content at a variety of focal lengths and camera settings that would require three or more large, heavy and expensive lenses for an interchangeable lens camera user. It's an outstanding choice for a shooting anything from landscapes to distant wildlife and everything in between.
The RX10 III high zoom camera is equipped with a 1.0 type stacked 20.1 MP Exmor RS CMOS sensor with advanced signal processing and an attached DRAM chip, along with a powerful BIONZ X image processor. These components work together to ensure the highest possible image quality throughout the entire zoom range of the 24-600mm lens. Additionally, they are responsible for a variety of standout professional-caliber features including 40x super slow motion video capture at up to 960 fps, an ultra-fast Anti-Distortion Shutter with a maximum speed of 1/32000 second, high resolution 4K movie shooting and more.
New ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm F2.4 - F4 Lens
The impressive 24-600mm ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* lens on the Cyber-shot RX10 III camera features a large maximum aperture of F2.4 - F4.0, helping it achieve outstanding image quality throughout the entire zoom range, all the way up to ultra-telephoto. This differentiates it from many other high-zoom lenses that often struggle with light-gathering at longer focal lengths. The aperture unit itself has nine blades that are designed to create a near perfect circle in the F2.4 - F11 range, enabling shooters to create content with beautiful bokeh, where the subject stands out against a softly defocused background.
In total, the extended zoom lens features eight ED glass elements including one super ED glass element, five ED glass elements and two ED aspherical lenses, which all work together to minimize chromatic aberration and deliver high-contrast, ultra-sharp image quality. It also has ZEISS T* Coating for minimizing flare and ghosting and delivering accurate, faithful color reproduction.
The new lens has built-in Optical Steady Shot image stabilization that helps to reduce camera shake and image blur, in particular when shooting at longer focal lengths. When active, the OSS is equivalent to shooting at a shutter speed approximately 4.5 stops3 faster than the current setting of the camera.
Additionally, with a minimum focusing distance of 72 cm (2.36 ft) and 0.49x maximum magnification at a fully extended 600mm, the new lens is capable of producing amazingly detailed tele-macro images.
High Quality Image Detail
The RX10 III features a back-illuminated 20.1 MP 1.0-type stacked CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processing engine that allow the camera to achieves a wide sensitivity range of ISO 644 - ISO 12800 and produce images with exceptionally low noise, even at higher sensitivity settings.
Additionally, the rear of the sensor has a DRAM chip that allows it to read and process large volumes of data exceptionally fast, enabling the camera to shoot super slow motion video at up to 960 fps. The powerful DRAM chip also allows the RX10 III to shoot continuously at up to 14fps with minimal blackout.
With shutter speeds as fast as 1/32000 second, the electronic shutter on the RX10 III minimizes image distortion at faster shutter speeds. It also offers silent shooting at all settings and speeds, ensuring all content can be captured quietly without disrupting the subject, a powerful feature when combined with the wide-ranging zoom lens.
High Quality 4K Movie Recording
The new RX10 III model becomes the latest and most versatile Cyber-shot RX camera to offer the advantages of 4K (QFHD 3840x2160) movie recording thanks to its far-reaching 24-600mm lens, which gives videographers the luxury of shooting high quality 4K video from extreme distances.
In 4K video mode, the RX10 III camera utilizes full pixel readout without pixel binning, capturing approximately 1.7x more information than is required for 4K movie output to enhance image detail and minimize moire and jaggies. It achieves these high-quality results through use of the XAVC S codec, which records video at a high data rate of up to100 Mbps during 4K recording and up to 50 Mbps during full HD recording
The new camera also has a variety of other professional caliber video features including Picture Profile, S-Log2/S-Gamut, Gamma Display Assist, Time Code and more, as well as input for external microphone and output for headphone monitoring.
Super Slow Motion Video Recording
The RX10 III also possesses the ability to record super slow-motion video at up to 40x slower than the standard rate, allowing users to capture and replay fleeting moments of action with incredible detail, resolution and clarity.
In "HFR" (high frame rate) setting, it offers the option to choose among 960fps, 480fps and 240 fps frame rates and among 60p, 30p and 24p playback formats 4,5 with the option to use the movie record button as a 'start trigger' to begin recording once button is pressed or 'end trigger' to record footage up until the button is pressed.
High Speed Autofocus
The new RX10 III camera is equipped with an impressive autofocus system with spatial object detection, allowing the camera to detect and predict motion of a subject before the shutter button is pressed, This helps the camera achieve an incredibly fast and efficient AF response when the shutter is halfway pressed, enabling it to lock on to a subject in as little as 0.09 seconds 8. This is yet another compelling technology, especially when paired with a versatile, highly capable 25x zoom lens with a range up to 600mm.
Ergonomics and Design
Aesthetically, the new RX10 III features a number of upgrades compared to existing RX10 models including triple lens rings for focus, zoom and aperture for direct, precise control. The hand grip shape has also been optimized for the new high-magnification, large-aperture lens to enhance stability when holding the camera at eye level. There is a new focus hold button on the lens barrel as well, allowing the focus to be easily locked on a subject while the shooter reframes the image.
The new model features a high-contrast XGA OLED Tru-Finder with approximately 2.35 million dots of resolution, ensuring true-to-life image preview and playback functionality. The camera is also dust and moisture resistant and both Wi-Fi and NFC compatible, with the ability and can access Sony's growing range of PlayMemories Camera Applications.
