I use with Zeiss optical finder. One day, I found the Thumb Grip and finder on the car seat, next to the camera. The lock hadn't held. If this had happened while in the field, I'd have lost nearly $700 in equipment. I'm surprised that Sony has produced such an expensive piece...that works great...with such an insecure lock. I've used a Thumbs Up grip on my Leicas and they were rock solid for far less money. Disappointing.
