MARCELLO R : Will this work with Sony Mirrorless cameras as well?  Thinking about this with the new A7SJAE THOMAS S : It's only compatible with the Sony NEX-VG30, NEX-VG30H, & NEX-VG900.

Alfonso V : If I use this with a Sony NEX-VG20, the 2 channel keep separates (for example the boom and a wireless levalier) after log and transfer in FCP7?ANDREW R : I'm afraid I'm not sure I understand your question. Audio should remain on the channel it was initially recorded on.

Expensive, but mostly worth it

We mounted this to a Sony NEX-VG30 with a Sony manual zoom telephoto lens and it works great. Yes, this costs more than double what other bolt-on XLR adapters sell for and that is a bit of a ripoff but - the adapter takes its power from the camera, so no hassle with 9V batteries. It also has a low freq cutoff filter for each input as well as 48v phantom power; a real plus. Three levels at attenuation is an added bonus. And, it fits like a glove onto the TOP (XLR adapter that mount to the bottom of camcorders are clunky looking and not convenient for us) of the camera, but we almost had to refer to the manual to figure out the order and direction of the supplied hardware.It's a secure, solid, assembly that meets our requirements.
