Excellent little mixer/preamp and microphone. The audio quality is everything I hoped it would be, the 100hz and 300hz cut options come in very handy for eliminating camera handling noise, and the digital/analog switch is nice too. Connecting the XLR-K3M via the Multi Interface Shoe of a compatible camera enables direct transfer of audio signals in digital form to the camera, which means no quality degradation happens. It has two XLR-1/4" combo mic/line inputs with 48V phantom power, and a 3.5mm stereo input with plug-in power. These features all have individual and intuitive level controls that are easy to use and allow you to use the XLR-K3M right out of the box. It also includes an ECM-XM1 super-directional shotgun microphone and a vibration-damping mic holder for immediate recording. The XLR-K3M has an advanced shock and vibration-suppressing design which minimizes low-frequency handling noise that can degrade audio quality.
