This purchase was worth every single penny - a true milestone, considering the Sony ZV-E1 has been my dream camera for quite some time. The ZV-E1 delivers exceptional quality, offering creators the ability to produce stunning, high-end video without the premium price tag you'd expect. Its performance, versatility, and creator-focused features make it an outstanding choice for anyone serious about elevating their content. I also have to highlight my experience with Adorama their service truly set the whole purchase apart. From the remarkably fast shipping to the attentive and reliable customer support, Adorama made the process effortless and enjoyable. Their professionalism turned what was already an exciting purchase into an exceptional one.

So far a great upgrade from my a6500. The low light performance, auto focus and video quality are a world better.

I am very, very pleased with my purchase of the Sony A7 IV camera through Adorama. The last time I used a full frame camera was a Pentax 35mm film. The pictures are beautiful. I've only been viewing them on an iPad and I can't wait to do some enlargement prints. This is a great low-level professional level mirrorless, and it has tons of features, but the visible controls are traditional so I could charge up the battery and start shooting with great results. If you're willing to go a little over $2k, you won't regret it. Adorama is always great to deal with and worked with me on some camera/lenses trade-ins. If your thinking about going full frame, give this camera some consideration.

Excellent compact camera. I was looking to upgrade my Sony A7III and was perfectly happy to get the A7IV, but I saw this model had pretty much the same specs in a smaller body. I like how the viewfinder is off to the side, so my nose doesn't activate the touchscreen. Can't seem to disable the electronic shutter noise, which is the only drawback to far.

I recently upgraded from the Sony A7 III to the A7 IV, and I couldn't be happier! Sony has addressed every issue I had with the A7 III, making the A7 IV a substantial upgrade that is absolutely worth the extra cost. The difference between the two cameras is night and day. The improved autofocus system, higher resolution sensor, and the incredible dynamic range have completely elevated my photography experience. The user interface feels more intuitive, and the additional customization options make it easier to tailor the camera to my workflow. The A7 IV truly shines in both photo and video performance, offering a level of versatility that the A7 III just couldn't match. If you're on the fence between the A7 III and the A7 IV, I can't recommend the A7 IV enough. It's a no-brainer upgrade for anyone who wants the latest and greatest in Sony's lineup. A big shoutout to Adorama for their excellent service-my camera was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. I've always had great experiences with them, and this was no exception.

I ordered this in preparation for a last-minute corporate gig, and Adorama was able to deliver the camera within 2 days reliably. Your shipping department deserves congratulations. Also, I purchased the FX 30 KIT version because the extras are quite useful. I actually used the GREEN battery in my corporate gig; it held up quite well in relation to the original Sony battery.

First of all, the package Adorama assembled (Sony A7CR, extra battery, charger, 128GB UHS II 60v card and camera bag) is the deal of the century. Now for the pros: This camera totally rocks. 61mb Sony BSI sensor. A small form factor. I got the Sigma 50mm f1.2 lens and the images are jaw dropping. (Save $600 from Sony's 50mm f1.2) While reviewers have crapped all over the articulating LCD and EVD I found them to be just fine. The resolution on the articulating screen is just fine. And at .70x the EVF is hardly the horror reviewers would have you believe. Now for a back story: Originally I was going to get the Hasselblad 907X with one of their awesome f2.5 XCD lenses (I was leaning toward the 38mm which is like a 30mm equiv. in full frame). The 907X form factor with it's upward flipping rear LCD that harkened to the classic Hasselblad 500CM's 6x6 frame turned me on to the square format and the Hasselblad "experience" (peering down into a finder). Then I read about the A7CR (and the A7C II) and its "flippy" screen. I thought with the amazing grip (that is enhanced with an included piece that extends the grip allowing your pinky to add additional grasp to the body) AND shooting in the square 1:1 format I could hold the camera VERTICALLY and achieve a somewhat similar experience (i.e. looking down at an LCD for shot composition. If you're shooting 1:1 it doesn't matter whether the camera is held horizontally or vertically and you'll have a somewhat lightweight 61mp beast with an AF system 907X (with either the 50 mp CFV 50C, 100mp CFV 100X as well as X1D, X2D users can only DREAM about). (Of course if you crave the brilliant Swedish industrial design admittedly the A7CR (and the A7C II) doesn't hold a candle. But essentially for thousands of dollars less than what the Swedes have wrought you can mimic the 907X experience with far superior AF and nearly equally good images (sans the Hasselblad "color science" I suppose but Sony's ain't too shabby either) for THOUSANDS of dollars less. The AF is the best in the business. If you prefer shooting 61mp in the 3:2 format buy Sony's dirt cheap but very sharp (at f4-f5.6) 28mm f2 lens and you've got a poor man's Leica Q3. A poor man's Hasselblad and poor man's Leica Q3 in one body? How cool is that. The iPhone-like touch screen and touch controls are VERY good. Cons? The menu which I hear is a vast improvement from Sony's historically awful menus is actually not all that bad. But it IS overwhelming. While you can certainly plow through it on your own, the pdf "guide" you can download from the Sony Website which reads like War & Peace WILL help you master it. Just be prepared to study it like you would for a Bar Exam. The customizable buttons and personalized setups are daunting. The glowing reviews of the menus and minimalist layouts of the Hasselblads and Leicas DO cause one to wish if Sony could develop camera software that would have a repository of all the functions each camera would always have that would allow you to create a menu you could tailor perfectly to your tastes with just the functions you want but with others available to add should you change your mind. While I've been a huge fan of the fully articulating rear LCD that I first experienced with the Lumix G1 I'm not as fussy about it as some reviewers have been who've complained about the screen having to be swung out to the left side at times. My only problem is this: I like the fact that you can always turn the screen of the rear LCD inward toward the camera body to protect the screen (the rear housing is facing toward you on the back). But when you do that there is a lag time with the EVF when you're ready to shoot (or film) when you bring the EVF to your eye. To make the viewing in the EVF instantaneous the LCD must face outward. (If there's a way for the EVF to remain active when the rear LCD is turned inward I haven't found it yet. It might be something simple like a setting in the dizzying menu system that keeps the EVF on no matter what...in other words by deactivating the sensor that turns the LCD off when you move toward the EVF and vice versa. (By the way the sensor is EXTREMELY sensitive. I was fiddling with the menus and each time my hand came even remotely close to the sensor by the EVF the LCD screen turned black!) So aside from these issues which pale in comparison to what I totally love about this camera, the Sony A7CR is masterpiece.

I was expecting to like this camera, but I love it! I purchased this camera and lens for an upcoming trip and wanted to be familiar with it before we left. I have taken it out on a few trail runs and absolutely love it. Super sharp images, and much easier than I thought to make the change from Nikon to Sony. I was looking for something lighter to travel with and the Sony Alpha a7 fits the job perfectly.

This is a great value. Is it the best bag? No. But does it work fine, carry a body and 3-4 lenses? Yes. It's built well enough and it's great quality for the price. Perfect starter kit in my opinion. Saves a lot of money on getting started that you can invest in better lenses.

The lens is amazing. The tripod is a good value and is sturdy, which makes the bundle a good deal. The filters are garbage and do but belong on a GM lens. I don't trust the cleaning kit for use on this lens but I will use it to clean cell phones and tablets.

For me the Sony A7IV was a huge upgrade. The touch screen mixed with the autofocus is a dream come true. This camera has also pushed me into much higher end video production which was the biggest incentive for buying. It does have it's issues with video, mainly overheating, and it is something to consider. Overall it is an amazing camera.

Fantastic camera. Eye autofocus a major step up from the A7III/C that I had before. Menu system is also a great improvement and I like the ergonomics. That the shutter can close when off to protect from dirt is a big plus. Definitive buy recommendation along with the amazing lens options that exist for E-mount.

Better than phone for capturing memories and travel photos
By KYLE P.
I got the Sony ZV1 to use as my main portable camera instead of my cell phone. It will not replace my dslr, but it does come in handy for traveling compared my iphone se 2nd gen. It?s nice to have something so portable and it can do a lot more than your phone can in terms of quality and features. I feel it?s best to have a portable camera for capturing memories instead of having to rely on your phone since my last iPhone deleted a lot of my pictures on me so this is a lot more reliable havin...

A camera that has no equal
By DAVID T.
The a1 has no pier. It?s an incredible camera! I bought one to try and was so impressed I bought a second a1 with full set of lenses and sold all of my Nikon gear.
About The ZV-E10 Mirrorless Camera, Black
The ZV-E10 features a large APS-C sensor and BIONZ X image processing engine to produce high-quality imagery with high-sensitivity and beautiful natural bokeh. The E-mount interchangeable lens system offers a wide selection to suit your style while the flip-out vari-angle LCD, advanced audio options and features designed specifically for vlogging make this the ideal content creators camera.
Made for video creators and vloggers
At its core, the ZV-E10 features a 24.2-megapixel (approx. effective) APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processing engine to produce high-quality imagery with high-sensitivity, detailed texture depiction and beautiful natural bokeh. The ZV-E10 also includes the acclaimed vlogging-specific features favored in the popular ZV-1 digital camera, including; "Background Defocus", "Product Showcase Setting" and "Face Priority AE" along with Sony's highly acclaimed autofocus. Take your vlogging to the next level with the ZV-E10.
Find a lens to match your style
Professional-looking vlogs are easy with the interchangeable lens ZV-EIO camera. Thanks to Sony's extensive range of E-mount lenses, you have a wide variety to capture the world however you choose to see it. Incorporate background scenery into your script with a wide-angle lens, or make the subject grab the viewer's attention by using a wide aperture lens with an artfully blurred background. Move in closer with a macro lens or pull in distant scenes with a telephoto lens. Choose how you see the world and pick the lens that matches your style.
A large-format image sensor for professional-quality images
The ZV-E10's impressive images are the result of the camera's large 24.2 MP APS-C Exmor image sensor. Compared to other cameras, the image sensor of the ZV-E10 is more than ten times bigger than a smartphone sensor and three times bigger than a premium 1" sensor found in compact cameras, allowing for beautiful, professional-looking images with high resolution and intricate detail.
High-quality images with minimal noise
The ZV-E10's large-format image sensor is designed to maximize light collection, producing 4K movies with high-quality images and less noise, even when you're shooting in a dimly lit setting.
Instant easy access to controls
When you're shooting a vlog session, the last thing you want to do is fumble for buttons. With the ZV-E10 you'll find the MOVIE button right on top, for quick access. There's also a handy zoom lever, and a mode button that lets you easily switch between Still/Movie/S&Q to access still images, normal videos and Slow & Quick Motion modes.
Designed for simple selfie and vlog shoots
Weighing in at just 12.8 ounces (364 grams), the ZV-E10 is ready to hit the road with you whenever you're ready to vlog. The side-opening vari-angle LCD screen makes it easy to take selfies and check your framing, even when you're shooting from high or low positions. Even the ergonomic grip is designed for a safe and stable hold.
4K video with oversampling for greater detail
The ZV-E10 delivers extremely detailed and crisp 4k from direct pixel readout and no pixel binning. Using the full width of the 24.2MP sensor, means it oversamples roughly the equivalent of 6k, approximately 2.4 times the actual resolution needed to produce its highly detailed 4 video.
Let Real-time AF Tracking do the focusing for you
The ZV-EI0's Al (Artificial Intelligence) 13 driven Real-time AF Tracking is intuitive to use. Simply touch the monitor to indicate the subject you want to focus on and Real-time Tracking will take it from there, keeping a steady hold on the subject.
Fast, precise autofocus
Even quick-moving subjects stay in focus thanks to the zv-E10's Fast Hybrid AF system. With 425 phase-detection points covering around 84% of the sensor's image area, this wide coverage and dense AF point placement help to precisely capture subjects that might otherwise be difficult to focus on.
Protection against recording failures
You won't be caught off-guard asking "Are we recording " or miss a moment because you thought you were but weren't. The ZV-EIO tells you at-a-glance if you're recording or not. A tally (recording) lamp on the front of the camera lights up in red and the LCD monitor displays a bold red frame, letting you and your subject know when recording is in progress.
Easy background blur control
There's no need for complicated manual adjustments - the Background Defocus features lets you simple press a single button to turn background blurring (bokeh) on and off. The button switches between the attached lenses maximum aperture for a blurred, bokeh-rich background and either f/8 or f/11 (depending on lens) for a clearly focused one14, skipping all the complex manual settings. A defocused background highlights you or your subject , while having everything in focus is great for showing a location or setting.
Precise focus transitions for smooth-looking product reviews
With just the press of a button, you can activate the ZV-EI0's Product Showcase Setting, ideal for product review videos. With the setting activated, whenever you hold a product up in front of the camera the focus will shift automatically to that object and then back to your face again when you move the product out of frame. This setting is available even when image stabilization is set to Active.
Leave it up to the camera to focus on you
With the ZV-EIO you can concentrate on the more creative aspects of vlogging. The camera's Eye AF feature uses sophisticated algorithms to detect, recognize and track a subject's eyes quickly and accurately, keeping a tight focus on a person's eyes.
Smooth, soft skin appearance
The ZV-EIO features a Soft Skin Effect to smooth your skin's appearance. The feature is designed to smooth out your skin while preserving sharpness in the eye and mouth regions. You can select from four levels (from "off" to "high") to determine the level of this effect, depending on your preference.
Stay brightly lit wherever you go
Even when lighting conditions change abruptly, the ZV-EIO makes sure that you'll always be brightly lit. From direct sunlight and backlit angles to shadows and dimly lit interior corners, the camera detects the subject's face and automatically handles changes in brightness, performing rapid exposure adjustments to compensate. And if you or your subjects face is no longer visible in the frame, the camera will adjust exposure smoothly to avoid harsh shifts in image brightness levels for a more pleasing movie.
Natural-looking skin tones
The ZV-EIO is designed to produce healthy and natural-looking skin tones for everyone without extra editing. Thanks to the ZV-EI0's natural color tuning, the camera automatically fine-tunes skin appearance.
Easy speed-up and slowed-down motion
The camera's S&Q (Slow & Quick) Motion modes record videos up to 5x slower than real time or up to 60x faster You can record at up to 50 Mbps with full HD quality, and it's all done in-camera, so you don't need to do any editing on a PC. You can also do highspeed full HD recording at 120fps to create high-resolution slow-motion sequences in post-production.
Designed for clear voice recording
Equipped with a built-in Directional 3-Capsule Mic, the ZV-EIO records voices clearly even in crowded settings. It's optimized to capture voices in front of the camera with fewer distracting ambient sounds, perfect for vlogging use. For clear recording even outdoors, the ZV-EIO comes with a wind screen that can easily be attached to the Multi Interface (Ml) Shoe to reduce wind noise, allowing worry-free recording when shooting in windy conditions.
Smooth and stable images even while walking
The ZV-EI0 will help keep things smooth and steady when you're on the move. Active Mode electronic image stabilization delivers stable video footage with minimal shake and blur during hand-held recording, and it's available even when the Product Showcase Setting is on.
Easy sound monitoring
Make sure that you're getting exactly the audio stream that you're hoping for. The ZV-EIO features a standard 3.5mm headphone output so you can connect a set of headphones to monitor whether the audio is being properly recorded.
For even higher audio quality
Unlike conventional analog audio transmission, you'll never need to worry about cable signal interference. Just pair the ZV-EIO with any Sony microphone that supports a Digital Audio Interface via an Ml Shoe for clear, low-noise, all-digital audio. In addition, the ZV-E10 supports analogue MI shoe microphones, or you can connect a microphone via the 3.5mm mic jack located above the LCD when flipped out so cables don't get in the way of the screen.
Vertical shooting without complications
Movies shot in a vertical orientation for some social media applications can be viewed the same way on a PC or smartphone, thanks to metadata recorded by the camera. There's no need to rotate the video manually, convenient when you're sharing your work on social media.
Transfer to a smartphone for quick sharing
The ZV-EIO makes it easy to share 4K movies and still images after shooting. Even when the camera is turned off, your images can continue to be transferred wirelessly from the camera to a smartphone, to be shared as soon as you're ready.
