Works Well but Limited Utility

Works well at correcting perspective. The problem is it only outputs to TIFF or JPEG ending any further RAW editing from Lightroom. Can't use with DXo OpticsPro for same reason.

Quick and Easy Distortion Correction

DXO Viewpoint is a quick and easy tool for distortion correction caused by wide angle lenses or simply shooting angle. Viewpoint operates as a plugin for programs like Lightroom, or as a stand alone program. This software has many lens/camera specific downloadable corrections. The the user can select from multiple options for horizontal and vertical plane correction. The program is easily usable without instruction but DXO has some really good tutorials as well as an online manual. For those that shoot a lot of indoor and/or architectural type photography, this is a great tool to have for polishing those final images.

ViewPoint 2 disappoints

I'm disappointed by DxO ViewPoint 2. Unlike DxO FilmPack, ViewPoint doesn't show up in DxO Pro 9 as a plug-in. If you work with RAW files, you must save your photo as a JPEG (or TIFF) from Pro 9, then open that JPEG in ViewPoint to use its perspective correction features. Since DxO Pro 9 has essential perspective correction capabilities (which operate on the RAW file), I expect to use ViewPoint rarely, if at all. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't buy DxO ViewPoint 2.
