This is the newest version. It has the higher CRI LED's (no green) rated at 95+, a bent yoke for better support and more flexibility with the barn-doors, corner protectors and updated knobs. What is the difference between the 50CTD and this light, the D-50CTD? The "D" stands for "Digital Screen." The two lights operate exactly the same, but the D-50CTD shows you your exact color temperature from 3200k to 5600k on an LCD Screen. It also shows you your brightness level from 0-255. It is great when trying to re-create lighting scenes. It can also be valuable when making sure that multiple lights have the same color temperature.

This 1x1 LED studio light panel has taken the common 1'x1' size layout and has added bi-color LED's (AKA variable color temperature) along with a fully digital readout to a very sturdy and well-built metal frame. The Bi-Color knob allows you to mix the color temperature meaning that it can be 3200k, 5600k or anywhere in between the two. The LED's actually change color temperature electronically, without filters, resulting in extremely accurate colors temperatures. If you are in a mixed-light setting (like an outdoor patio that also has indoor lighting or are indoors next to a window, you can mix the color temperature to match your setting). The included battery plate now makes professional lighting fully portable, choose either Anton Bauer or V-Mount battery plates. With 50W and 1156 LED's, this light is extremely bright and powerful while also remaining light, slim, portable, flicker and heat free.
