Jamo is my first starter budget 5.0 system after graduating from my decade old HTIB. The rear surrounds seem weak so 803 would have been better choice. But the sound I am getting from front 809 is amazing. Center 83 is adequate. Though I don't have other budget or high end systems as reference I would definitely rate it good based on the price paid. I removed a for 801. I have to yet put a sub, but I am happy with the lows that 809 produce so will wait for a hood deal on sub which can hit lower. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

I bought these because I wanted to upgrade my home theater. I was using a JBL 9.1 soundbar, but I felt like it was lacking that full theater sound. I bought these and separately bought the Atmos speakers and 2 subs and holy cow!!! No I finally have a true home theater. These speakers are amazing for the price. Do not hesitate to get these. I push them with a 7.2 Denon receiver, and they do not flinch. Movie and music are incredible. Just get them!

I?m still working on my room but these are great speakers. I?m using the S809 for stereo music often and they are also the front speakers for home theatre purposes. For music they sound great even without the sub, I?m really impressed with the 5? woofers (for me 6.5 was always the minimum) if you are replacing other speakers make sure you run your room correction after connecting these. They sounded terrible when I first wired them up before I redid it. The S83 center is an excellent match, I wish it was front ported though, it can be just a little boomy if it?s too close to the wall. I am going to use the S801s for front height channels, and even those little 4? woofers sound pretty good. I got the set for 399 shipped which to me is unbelievable and they really do sound nice. They are really nice looking also and the grills look kinda elegant

I've had these speakers for a year. I am not an audiophile but knowledgeable enough to know the difference between cheap and expensive speakers. These blur the lines tremendously. They probably have the best value of any speaker set. Great sounds for the price and I feel no need to upgrade. Pair them with the Atmos attachments and a decent receiver and you have something special. I'm using a Yamaha RX-V677

Extremely pleased with this speaker set and additionally purchased the sub-woofer. Light years better than the bookshelf speakers they replaced. The thing that sold me is that apparently they are part of the same company as Klipsch. Vocals are much crisper. The surrounds, while small, put out a good sound and volume. Great home theatre system, along with my Denon home theatre But these on sale and definitely worth it

At the sale price I paid, this was a great deal for a very good entry level sound system. And the sound coming out of this setup is very good ? a decent dynamic range for the price. The only ?very minor? thing I noticed is the product finish ? it has a thin veneer covering and on some edges of the speakers it looked like it can easily peel. But again, for the sound quality I get at this price point, I?m not going to complain.

Paired with the Atmos modules and quality AV Receiver. Placement of the binding posts at the bottom (both Atmos and speaker) are a plus. Simulated wood veneer is okay, but aesthetically they look good. Sound quality is awesome once set up right. Love the Magnetic grilles - no mountin or push pins. Dolby Atmos modules have metal feet that align with integrated conductive metal contacts on capable Tower and Bookshelf speakers, so the back of the Topper has a clean design, free from any inputs or wires.

I upgraded my very old Boston Acoustics surround system to this Jamo system when it went on sale a couple of months ago. I was a little concerned that they might draw a bit more power than my Denon amp could push, but having worked for Denon, I knew that being at the edge of the power requirement at the 6ohm level wouldn't be an issue. I might just experience a slight lack of volume at the worst, but that didn't even happen. I got this system connected up, and did some quick channel level adjustments. My first test was a Led Zeppelin remastered DVD from Earl's Court. I WAS BLOWN AWAY! I had NO IDEA what I was missing before I bought this Jamo S809 set, and I've heard some decent systems, having worked for Denon USA. The sound was crisp and clear, and there was noticeable bass coming from the satellite speakers like I've NEVER heard before. I was shocked! Next up, I put in The Matrix Blu-ray. With my old BA surround set I'd struggle to hear certain dialog in louder scenes because the center channel could not compete with the effects from the other channels, and I even tried, thoroughly, to improve this with adjustments and calibration. However, with this Jamo S 809 system, I could hear every word and crisp annunciation! It was incredible!! Some of this is creditable to the Denon Receiver upgrade I did too, by the way. Anyway, fast forward to the lobby shootout and rooftop bullet dodge. The experience is almost indescribable it was so amazing! You could feel every gun shot just as clearly as if if happened in front of you, and you could almost feel that percussive hit in your chest when you fire a real gun. UNBELIEVABLE! Then, the bullet dodge with the rounds going by and around as the camera spins and moves shook the entire room! It was like re-experiencing the scene through new eyes (ears?)! Overall, I am completely blown away at the quality of sound, and so far the seemingly high level of build quality these have. I hope they last the decade or more my Boston Acoustics lasted because I LOVE these even more! I can't wait to go through all my remastered classics and relive them through new ears!

WOW, this is a spectacular value. I bought these to put together a low cost home theatre system. I figured I'd watch movies a few times a month with friends, so I wasn't going to spend a lot. Well these sound so good, I spend hours listening to music on them now. I've spent the last several days just playing all my favorite songs on these and basking in the music.

Cosmetic: a small area of the paper surface covered for the whole surface of one speaker peeled off easily. Poor manufacturer's fault. Sound quality: tweeters seem distorted, you have to listen closely to the tweeter to find out. Overall sound quality is ok. Shipping: one corner of the shipping box of bigger speakers got a bid dent, though the speaker seemed ok.

Sound is fantastic. Very crisp and clear. The sub is very powerful and easily tunable. I'm tempted to give 4 stars because the packaging is very poor. I had to request a replacement for one of the speaker towers due to the very flimsy cardboard that the speakers are shipped in. The replacement package was in pretty rough shape too, but fortunately there was no damage to the speaker itself. Adorama offered great customer service with the replacement process.

The speaker combination sounds great. Deeper bass and clearer tones than my previous set-up. The only reason for a loss of a star is because I want to complete the set-up with the Atmos speakers but those are out of stock everywhere.
