For the price I got these at I'd rate them 5 stars. I also have a pair of Wharfedale Linton speakers and its hard to justify how much a paid for those. They dont have as much bass but add a sub and you are still spending much less than I paid for the wharfedale speakers. These are smaller than I expected the finish is a vinyl laminate that appears like it could peel and the feet are an interesting design but I assume they are to prevent these from tipping over. Other than that I love the way these things look and I would buy these again and again.

I will start off by saying I did not have this complete set...I had the 809 floors and the center for years with definitive tech d9 book shelf speakers and sub as my set up. I was surprised how well my Jamos held up against/with my def techs (which are 3-4x the price). For the the price there is no better starter system than this. I had friends blown away with the sound. I do not know how the Jamo bookshelves or sub sound, but if they sound like the floors and center you will be more than happy with this set when it is on sale for these crazy prices you can get on this site. They were good for music and home theatre. For the price I honestly did not have any dislikes.

Absolutely incredible for the price. I'm not a serious audiophile, just an enthusiast and this is incredible. The floor standers have incredible range but sit on the sharper bright side of the spectrum.

Bought these for my first turntable setup and they fit the bill perfectly. I'm not a hifi expert by any means, so when I saw that the price was right for a pair of these, I pulled the trigger. I won't even pretend to know how to review speaker sound quality, but these sound well balanced to me. They also look higher end IMO.

Great speakers that sound amazing but order them from somewhere else. They do not ship with any impact protection. After multiple damaged orders I bought elsewhere.

I'm lovin' these speakers. Taking the place of some Polk T15 Bookshelf Speakers, these are filling up my room much better and really making the details in the audio track stand out nicely. I got these on a pretty sweet sale and, for how much it helped my audio system, it was one heck of a bargain. Definitely would buy these again.

I purchased this speaker on sale and so far have been extremely happy with it. Both the look and sound quality are where I'd expect them to be for the price point and the 3 woofers add a lot of dynamic bass to my theater setup - I had planned on getting a second rear sub but don't feel like that is necessary after purchasing this.

Simply fantastic value when you can get these on sale. They sound as good (and look better) than many speakers twice the price. Some people say the high end is overemphasized but I find it just right. Kids are slightly recessed. Bass is awesome. If you?re new to HiFi you?ll be blown away! Even if you?re not, these are a great value. The downside of that ?Apple-simple? design is the drivers cannot be removed / repaired / replaced from my research.

The speakers are awesome and I took advantage of one of Adorama's special deals for a great price. However... Adorama shipped me the Jamo S809 speaker pair in their original packaging. These speakers are entirely too heavy to be shipped with that level of protection. This is not Adorama's fault. There was a big hole in the side of the box and the cardboard box and Styrofoam used was thin and insufficient to protect. The foam was smashed into pieces and there was nothing in between the speakers. Since the box used is tall the sides are easily buckled when other packages are placed on it during shipping. Amazingly nothing was missing and nothing was damaged except one speaker post. When designing the packaging it should be taken into consideration that the product will be shipped via Fedex or others and they are not keen on handling, just speed. I hate Styrofoam but more protection is needed. Thicker or double-layer boxes plus more Styrofoam or other (environment friendly) material needs to used.

These are my first set of floor speakers and they sound amazing! Especially compared to what I had before. I know there are "better" speakers out there for the big audiophiles, but these make my music sound awesome as well as movies. I am able to hear things in the music through these speakers that my other speakers could not get out. I recommend these to those that are just starting out with floor speakers or one that just wants a great sounding music and home theatre.

These speakers sound awesome and are well worth the money. Their bass response is very good as well. I don?t even need a subwoofer. (If you want room shaking bass though you?ll need a subwoofer). They are also good looking speakers with the grills on or off. I was blown away by how good they sounded when I hooked them up. If you want good sounding speakers that don?t break the bank then buy these.

The speakers sound great and we can definitely hear the improvements over our decade-old satellite speakers with sufficient boom to go with it! One of the speaker came with slight cosmetic damaged but the support was willing to work with me in refunding a small discount for it. Overall very much satisfied and happy with the purchase!
