The C97 ii is a great all arounder for music and movies. I thought the tremble was going to be offensive but that wasn't the case (sharp but not like Studio line). I was not expecting the bass that these throw either. I haven't been used to that extension in quite some time. No, it's not the most articulated or speediest bass but for everyday use it's good enough. Soundstage is expansive as well. There's not much depth but they do expand beyond the speakers themselves. They also image well. They have a good center image and instruments and sounds pop out far left, far right beyond the cabinet itself and places in between. Cabinet construction is budget but the tweed cloth grill does make up for the whole presentation. The front baffle ??The top third of the cabinet is rock hard to a knuckle tap. It starts to get an echo towards the bottom 2/3's of the cabinet. Non fatiguing slight v-curved listening experience. Happy here!
