I probably wouldn't have gotten this but for the fact it was on sale for more than half off. Never had a Jackson, so I had to give it a try! So glad I did!

Compared to some other "cheap" guitars I have tried out over the years (like Indio), this did not require any set up out of the box. No filing frets, adjusting the neck and saddle, fixing intonation, etc. I slapped some new strings on and started playing!

Intonation all the way up to the 24th fret is good. Satin finish on the neck is smooth and radius is good for me. Has stayed relatively in tune even with some deeper bends on tremolo.

At this price, you expect cheaper nut and tuners, which is true here. They are still good for what they are, but would be the first think I would upgrade. The neck pick-up could be a little hotter if you want to get more bluesy or chunk out some metal chords, but pickups sound good clean with some reverb and chorus.

Great guitar, even at normal price

Jacksons JS guitars are a great value, especially at adorama great prices. Pickups are excellent for the coins, very close to DiMarzio. Necks are superb.

Following purchasing a budget Strat and Tele, I was looking for something with dual humbuckers and different style.  I caught this on sale and am glad I did.  The neck plays fantastic.  Only minor adjustments were needed.  You can't ask for more for an entry level model in my opinion.

The build is solid, yet light and just comfortable to my tastes.  

Once again Adorama has made me a happy customer? a happy customer with such low self control.
