Excellent guitar. Fast neck.

Expanding Jackson's tradition of eye-catching and high-powered designs, the X Series Soloist SLXTQ is a pure riffing machine. Modern metal players insist on expressive instruments that can crank out mud-free chords and rhythmic riffs, cutting through dense mixes like a razor. The SLXTQ delivers that uncompromising performance-as primal or refined as you want it to be, the Jackson bloodline runs strong through this axe.

The SLXTQ's massively thick sound is powered by a select duo of Duncan Designed humbucking pickups-an alnico HB102N neck pickup and hot ceramic HB102B bridge pickup-providing crisp cleans and articulate high-gain distortion with plenty of girth for palm-muted and downtuned riffage. Graphite-reinforced neck-through construction imparts massive sustain while refusing to shift when traveling through various climates. The breakneck-fast 12"-16" compound-radius rosewood fingerboard is designed for modern metal-execute riffs and chords with comfortable ease in the lower registers while the flatter radius in the upper register lends itself to nimble leadwork without fretting out during wide bends. Rock-solid, the tunamatic bridge offers adjustable intonation along with rugged tuning stability for the precision demanded by today's crop of metal guitarists.

Reach for the SLXTQ whenever you find yourself in need of a take-no-prisoners guitar with jaw-dropping style, colossal sound and high-tech performance from the company that defines the bleeding edge of instrument design-Jackson.

Name-Brand Pickups and Hardware
Jackson X series models feature a selection of EMG and Duncan Designed humbucking pickups for unparalleled tonal versatility from clean to heavily distorted. All tremolo-equipped models feature Floyd Rose Special bridges.

Graphite-Reinforced Neck-Through Design
True neck-through-body construction has been a Jackson hallmark since 1980. For greater playability and sustain, X Series models feature a neck-through design usually reserved for much more expensive instruments. Further, graphite support rods flanking the truss rod provide even more neck stability to help the instrument withstand the rigors of the road.

Compound-Radius Fingerboards
X Series models feature compound-radius fingerboards. Jackson pioneered the use of this innovative design, in which the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This makes for comfortable and natural-feeling chording and riffing near the nut, with optimal shred articulation and bending nearer the heel.

Gorgeous Jackson Style
The X Series presents a wealth of distinctive Jackson stylistic options from the subdued to the striking. Sharkfin or "piranha" fingerboard inlays. The traditional Jackson six-in-line headstock or an AT headstock with tuners on either side. Deep solid colors or beautifully figured tops. The X Series has something for everyone.
