The guitar was brand new from the manufacture. However, it was in raw form. Fret work (ends, level and polish) was required. A complete setup was also required. But for the price I paid well Worth it.

This is an incredible guitar for the price! Tone is suited for higher gain. Neck feels great, fretwork is good. My new go-to for 80's shredding!

Got a great deal on this soloist so I could upgrade from my js34q archtop dinky, and man is it an upgrade. slightly better hardware, hot rails, and neck thru construction certainly make a difference, not to mention this kind of just has a sleeker look. It arrived quickly, and my suspicion as to why it was so much cheaper is that upon opening it, I noticed some minor quality defects. paint and finished being thin or non existent in some spots, that kind of thing, but nothing too noticeable and as far as I'm concerned, those don't make a difference to me at all. For the price, this guitar plays amazing and looks amazing. The setup is perfect out of the box, intonation is somehow better than any of my other guitars.

Just as the Jackson name is synonymous with cutting-edge guitar technology, the Jackson X Series Soloist SL3X DX Electric Guitar in Lambo Orange exemplifies the brand's commitment to innovation and quality. This high-performance instrument seamlessly blends classic aesthetics with modern materials and construction techniques, making it a top choice for today's discerning guitarists.
The Soloist SL3X DX features a sleek, contoured poplar body that not only enhances its visual appeal but also ensures ergonomic comfort during extended performances. Its neck-through-body construction, a hallmark of Jackson since 1980, provides exceptional sustain and smooth playability all the way up to the 24th jumbo fret. The maple neck is reinforced with graphite rods, offering superior stability and protection against environmental changes.
Designed for speed and precision, the guitar boasts a 12"-16" compound radius bound laurel fingerboard. This innovative design allows for easy chording and riffing near the nut, while facilitating rapid, fret-out-free leads as you move up the neck. The laurel fingerboard also contributes to a bright and focused tone, enhancing the overall sound quality.
Equipped with a powerful trio of Jackson high-output humbucking bridge and Jackson double rail pickups, the SL3X DX delivers complementary harmonics and dynamic responsiveness. The five-way pickup blade switching, along with single volume and tone controls, allows you to harness the full sonic potential of these pickups. The recessed Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo bridge system ensures that your guitar returns precisely to its original tuning after every dive-bomb or flutter.
Visually striking in its Lambo Orange finish, the X Series Soloist SL3X DX is adorned with Jackson's traditional appointments, including black hardware, knurled dome-style control knobs, pearloid sharkfin fingerboard inlays, zebra pickup bobbins, and the iconic Jackson pointed 6-in-line black headstock. This guitar is not just an instrument; it's a statement of style and performance, ready to meet the demands of any musical genre.
