The quality of the instrument for the price is amazing. Absolutely incredible for a beginner. Or for some like me who plays strats and semi hollow bodies, this is a great change of feel and tone. Delivered ready to play. Change the strings and you're ready to go.

Great value

I purchased this guitar because of the great price, and I am glad I did. It looks better in person than on the internet, and plays really well. All I had to do was put new strings on it. The setup was pretty good.

Great lp style guitar for the price.

This is an excellent guitar for the price paid.  The fit and finish are excellent.  The only downside are the pickups which simply don't have a "crisp" sound.

Jackson builds good stuff

Great value, great player. Light but not neck heavy, top looks great. Neck is amazing,even at this price. Jackson has a real sleeper here.Pickups are ceramic and they're HOT. Not the best quality, but decent enough to leave in for awhile until I upgrade to alnico 5 PAF style. I love the simple controls too.The tuners could be better, but again, a pretty simple upgrade. This guitar is fun to play and sounds great.Comes with 9's on it,I prefer 10's but now I'm nitpicking here,it played great right out of the box.

Jackson Lead Guitar

Had one for 2 or so weeks and never owned a new guitar when attempting to play but you can tell the difference in this being a Name Brand Guitar vs the other guitars I have been handed which where off brand guitars in everyway it is improved. Would recommend this Product to a beginner.

Bought this for my 16 year old son. He plays the violin and wanted to learn the guitar. He absolutely loves it.

Impressive beginner guitar

I was looking for a cheap, but not to cheap, guitar to start to learn on. I personally know nothing about guitars but a good friend of mine recommended Jackson and the price was right. I had him check it out when it arrived and he was impressed for the price, citing a good solid wood construction and decent beginner pick ups. My only gripe is that it's heavy on the distortion. (Apparently also a Jackson trait for which I was unaware). It's not a deal breaker though as I can manage it by taking off the volume a little. Still, I'm enjoying the experience and would recommend it for beginners like myself.

A very good starter guitar

The guitar looks pretty, is nice and dark, but all the joy stops there. After playing it for about 5 minutes there was a lot wrong with it. My fingers ended up all black, because something was coming out the fretboard. Lots of fret buzz, pointy frets, mics are terrible. I've had jackson before, and this one is nowhere near of what i had. Sad
Neck feels good though, like all jacksons, but i strongly believe this guitar needs a really nice setup, and probably adjustments like pickup, nut, strings change to make it decent.

A bit dissappointed

Playability is there. Stylish.  I like the sunburst finish. Feels comfortable. Thank you very much Adorama!
