The CSS-H30 features a focused coverage pattern, allowing it to project sound over greater distances compared to wider-coverage paging horns. This makes it an excellent choice for public access areas, warehouses, factories, schools, recreational facilities, commercial buildings, distribution centers, civic centers, and other commercial sound and protective signaling systems.

Equipped with a UL-registered 30-watt multi-tap transformer, the CSS-H30 supports 70V and 100V distributed speaker lines. The power tap switch is conveniently adjustable with a screwdriver, offering settings of 30W, 15W, 7.5W, 3.8W, and 1.9W (70V only). For non-distributed systems, an 8-ohm bypass position is available. The connection is facilitated through a bare wire on a built-in jacketed cable, ensuring a water-tight entrance to the speaker.

Durability is a key feature of the CSS-H30, with its transducer diaphragm crafted from sturdy phenolic material. This enhances its resilience, particularly in outdoor applications, and prevents deformation under extreme temperature conditions. To further safeguard the paging horn, a built-in 350 Hz high-pass filter protects against damage from frequencies below the operational frequency band.
