I bought this from best buy because i heard it playing when i walked in looking to get a cheaper brand and wow the only downside is you can't take out enough bass, eq is -6 and anywhere past 40% and the bass gets real nasty in a good manner. Plugged in the bass is uncontrollable after 25%! Get the extra battery if you plan on using this mobile!! It just cuts off no low battery warning! I bought it for my car and have to bring it home to charge, no problem but when i use it there the neighbors definitely know because the bass cant be turned down far enough so i use it after 12am

I did a fair amount of research on party speakers and the JBL Party Box Club 120 stood out. I then purchased one and loved it so much that I purchased another one. I broke them out at a beach party and a gentleman who was in attendance loved them so much that he told me that he would be ordering a pair the next day!

I bought the Party Box to use for outdoor family gatherings. It did not disappoint! The sound quality is superb. When used inside, make sure to turn the volume down low or your entire house will be vibrating! The only drawback is that it is heavy and doesn't wheels.

Overall a good speaker, BUT they don't make a battery charger for the battery and that is why a lot of people by this in the first place. I got this speaker wanting to leave one battery in it, take the other home at night and charge it and swap them out in the morning but once the box arrived I figured out that the batteries can only be charged from inside the speaker. Besides that extremely annoying part it has very good sound quality and loud volume.

I was a little hesitant to get a refurbished unit but I am so glad that I did! Everything works as if it was brand new. The sound is amazing at volume 1 or all the way up. The light show is awesome and you can control it through the JBL party box app which is even cooler! Might have to order a second one for more surround sound. I have so many JBL speakers big and small and have also given many as gifts. Always impressed.

Wow! I really wanted a 320 or even a 710 when I heard it in a store. I realized those may be overkill for my needs and I was right. The 120 is more than enough for most people. It gets loud and stays clear even at high volumes. What a wonderful piece of technology from JBL!

So I've only had this speaker for less than a week and I've never felt the want to post a review before about anything until now. I use this speaker everyday and for the size that it is man it is LOUD. I use this speaker at work in a loud environment and still am able to hear every instrument in a song. And at the end of the workday I take it home and plug into my surround sound setup boosting its sound incredibly. A wonderful speaker and I truly recommend buying.

Purchased this for our outdoor entertainment area. We thought about a more permanent landscape speaker install, but chose the JBL PartyBox120 for the portability and ease of use. I did not want to worry about other speakers outdoors all year in the AZ heat. We can always add another speaker if needed but so far the one speaker is perfect and loud enough for our needs. Kids love the microphones to sing along as well.

Bought this for playing music while we work on our fixer-upper cabin in the mountains. Its loud enough to hear all around the property, the music is clean and punchy, and the battery lasted an entire day of work and was still at almost half battery when I plugged it in at the end of the day. Awesome product!!

Overall Quality & Feel & Important Features: The build quality of this speaker is superb. Every detail was thought thoroughly and it's the perfect speaker for a gathering or party. From the little click that the handle makes when it locks in place to the rechargeable battery, this is one of the highest quality speakers I have owned. This will be my go-to speaker from now on for house parties or small gatherings as it is the perfect package for my needs. Not only it comes with incredible sound quality, but it also has guitar and microphone inputs which presents more opportunities for fun and entertainment. It's important to note that the speaker is quite heavy. Therefore, it cannot just be carried around easily despite the handle. ____________ The lights work very well and although they are not as customizable as a JBL Pulse speaker, there is a lighting setting for everyone. From a white strobe lighting to smooth and vibrant hue changes, they are very pleasant to watch and visually add value to the listening experience. The lights are responsive to audio as well, they move quicker once a louder note is played which is awesome. They are fully synchronized with the music. They work very effectively with house and techno genres as tracks usually have very prominent lows. So, in some cases, the lights fully match the track on beat, providing a concert-like experience. ____________ Battery life is amazing on this speaker. I didn't have to charge it for days when I was using it at home and in the backyard despite having the light show on the entire time. Another very useful feature is the removable battery. It's very small and the fact that it provides 12 hours of battery in that small size is outstanding technology and innovation. The speaker is built to last a while and it's built to keep the party going. ____________ On-speaker controls and buttons are designed nicely with proper indicators. They are smooth to the touch and twist. All buttons except the light and volume wheels light up which is very useful at night. The three action buttons also have different colors and that's a great touch. However, it would've been nice to have a customizability option for one or two of the buttons. The bubble button activates a female voice saying "Let's Party" with an energetic tone, thumbs up button plays a correct/winner type of tune (it's likely a sound effect you would play after a person answers a trivia question correctly). Lastly, the jog wheel/turntable button plays a DJ scratch noise for a second. I find myself pressing the scratch noise right before drops and "Let's Party" often, for fun. Moving along on top of the speaker, the bass boost button is very useful. There are two bass boost settings and it's clearly indicated with a dimmed and strong white light when activated. The little LED strip for the battery life works great as well, it indicates the remaining battery on the speaker very clearly. It usually lights up when a button is pressed, or the volume/lights are adjusted with the control wheels. It would've been nice to have the light show, and the play buttons actually light up as well to distinguish the difference easily at night and avoid accidental light or volume-level changes. Overall, all the controls someone would need are all located on the speaker. Many setting changes could be made directly on the speaker without the need for a mobile device. In addition, the back of the speaker has an input for the power cable, aux, and a USB Type-A to charge mobile devices. Most of us need extra juice when partying or after a long day so that is a useful add-on. The section that houses the aux, USB Type-A, guitar, and microphone inputs also has a little light shining from above and that's one of the coolest and most useful features I've seen in a speaker. ____________ Audio Quality: The speaker is equipped with the signature JBL Pro Sound, blasting 160 watts of power. It is very powerful both inside and outside. I didn't experience any significant sound distortion, the sound is very clear on all volume levels. The highs and mids are very crisp and defined, while the lows are punchy. The lows are incredible as there are two "Bass Boost" options via the button on the speaker. They make a recognizable difference and truly enhance the quality of the output. Especially in genres that include strong lows such as dance music/electro pop and rap. ____________ Overall, this is a very solid speaker with a powerful output and quality features. It's well-made with extra attention to detail.

The size works really well, mid-sized and weighs about 24 lbs. with a handle on top making it easy to take on the go, with battery life of 12 hours. My first impression id the premium materials and design, feel durable and made to last and waterproof IP rating, premium buttons. One thing to note is there is a swappable battery, you can keep the music going for long playback as well increasing the longevity of the speaker itself. The sound is amazing with deep base sporting 2 tweeters and 2 woofers with 160 watts of power using Bluetooth 5.4. I have used it as a musical backdrop for the balcony or at the beach, it's excellent. There are also DJ sound features that can be controlled on the or right on the top. Along the back panel which lights up at night, you have several inputs an USB, Axillary, 2 mic inputs (for karaoke, and guitar input. There is also a line out port so you can daisy chain this speaker this speaker to virtually any other speaker for added sound, in addition within the phone app you can connect other JBL speakers to create a stereo wireless sound stage. The stand out feature for me is the lightshow up front! The amazing and dazzling lights are very immersive giving the room a party vibe and of course can be turned off when I use this speaker within my home.

The JBL PartyBox Club 120 is a booming box speaker that sounds fantastic. Music blares out of it with excellent fidelity while the bass makes you tremble. The light effects it offers only add to the speaker's partying chops, turning it into a great addition for any party. The PartyBox 120 is impressively loud, and works well for outdoor or indoor gatherings (though your neighbors might complain). I've only used it at the 40-70 volume range so far and I'm still fairly sure my neighbors heard all the songs I played. The speaker has playback and volume controls on the top for convenience and they feel nice to use as well. The speaker's sound profile and lightshow are both customizable in the app, allowing great personalization for both features. It's battery life is excellent, capable of lasting through any party though it can also remain plugged in for longer times. The speaker's IPX rating is another plus, which definitely makes me a little more comfortable when I bring it around for pool parties. The speaker also has inputs for guitars and microphones for karaoke, something I've not tried yet, but am greatly looking forward to at my next party. All in all, its a fantastic choice for those looking for a party box speaker.

Great sounding speaker with amazing bass and super fast connection with Bluetooth. The sound is clear and loud so perfect for big homes. Above average in size but the sound definitely does match the size. Great for outdoors too
