Iv had this sub for about a year or so and man iv been a bass head my whole life and put systems in all my rides and this thing kicks for a 10 in woofer and I had to turn the thing down or it over took my 1500 watt Sony system this thing goes on good sales all the time and would definitely get another if the wife would let me.

Sounded nice while it worked. Died in 15 months. Barely used. Customer service basically told me to fly a kite and send it for evaluation at my expense. Looks like a common issue.

Beyond my expectations for beginners like me, no high-end receiver nor amp. just connected from 3.5" studio monitors sub-out to this well made 50 pounds SUB. The bass full filled my living room. I used party 310 after listening compare between these. I switched out party 310, cause 3.5" with SUB 550p made much better in high and low range, very clear in detail and I'm happy with it. Highly recommend this SUB 550p.

Just received this JBL 550P Subwoofer and love it. The sound is tight and musical. It can sound thunderous at high levels and controlled at low volumes. I like it more than the SVS-1000 I had. For the price I feel like I stole it. Also, the whole process of purchasing and shipping direct from Jbl could not have been better. I'm impressed.

Bought direct from harmon for a 11x13x8 room. The 550p sounds tight, controlled with great slam when playing jazz or rock this subwoofer integrates well worth every penny

The thing is heavy and powerful. I bought it because wireless subs are far too one dimensional, and I'm happy with this beast. It also looks aesthetically pleasing next to my TV stand.

Hi, i bought this JBL Sub (second one) and i am satisfied. I own the 2-Studio 590, 2-Sub 550P, the surround Studio 210. I have my old L-80 JBL for my other room by about 35 year's. All to say that JBL is JBL for me. Never disappointed.

I bought this a month ago and needed a line output converter (KICKER) to hook up to B speakers on my vintage Marantz 2225 receiver paired with 1973 Klipsch Heresy (A) speakers. I was hoping for more response. Even on full gain with the main speakers off, there isn't much sound. Everything seems to be functioning on the sub. Maybe you have some tips for me?? Thanks!

Received today Dead on Arrival Very disappointed, returning for refund, will never buy from JBL again, and the rest of my setup is all JBL Decade L26, Center channel, Control Ones for surround. This subwoofer had great reviews. Too bad ZERO stars can't be a review. Angry! This beast is 60 lbs and I'm older than this weighs! Lugging it to a UPS store... geez.

I bought two when they were on sale in 2021. One arrived damaged and was replaced. Two years later one of them has died and is out of warranty. It was advised I should have it serviced in NY or Texas. I live in MN and will not be shipping this beast to Texas or NY. Pretty disappointed with the product

Great subwoofer. Made this purchase as a 2nd subwoofer to my surround system, & dollop for dollar, this product is a home run. Great functionality, & well built. LFE connectivity is awesome! The only downside I could speak of is size (but that's being picky). It's a little bigger than what I imagined, however, it earns the space it takes 2 to 3 fold by putting out incredible low frequencies. I have mine turned up to around the 50% mark, & the whole room shakes when the low frequencies come out! I would highly recommend!

I have been looking for that distinctive thump that you can feel in your gut and I found it in this one. I tried about six ported ones and immediately returned all of them. Then I tried my first non ported sub the 550 jbl and BANG, this is what I wanted. Sound that you can feel when you're in the mood. I loved it so much I bought another and then another. 2 for the front room and 1 for the bedroom. After I save up a little I'd like to have 1 more for my work shop. You can put them anywhere because there's no port, but they are very heavy. Shipping was fast also. It was the first time I bought JBL and I am very happy with them.

This is a 'pretty big' unit that has boosted both my stereo and television response in a lofted but mid-sized living room. It is more than adequate for this room of about 18' x 20' with 16 foot ceiling. Controls were sufficient to zero in without being over my head. An awesome bargain.
